USER GUIDE
1. Draw horizontal lines on the door and
door edge
Measure for the lever center line on the door and door edge
36" (914mm) above the floor and then draw out the latch
center line according to the paper template.
2. Set the central point for drilling
Following the paper template, determine whether the door is
right- or left-handed and then place the appropriate paper
template to the door and door edge, aligning with the latch
center line and the lever center line (as illustrated) and
marking the centers of the holes.
3. Door Edge Drilling
1. Following the marks, drill 2 holes, 1" (25.4mm) in
diameter and 4-17/32" (115mm) deep on the door edge
and then, based on the positions of the 2 holes, chisel
out a rectangular groove (the line segments on the
paper template) 1" (25.4mm) in width, 6-3/8" (162mm)
in height and 4-17/32" (115mm) deep for the
installation of the lock case (Illustration 1).
2. Following the paper template, cut a groove 1-5/16"
(33mm) in width, 8-1/32" (204mm) in height and 1/4"
(6.5mm) deep on the door edge to provide a level
door edge surface once the faceplate is installed
(Illustration 2).
3. Finally, following the marks on the paper template,
drill two guiding holes (screw holes) 1/8" (3mm) in
diameter and 19/32" (15mm) deep to complete the
door edge drilling (Illustration 2)
Installation Procedures
4. Door face drilling
Following the markings of the paper template and the size
requirements, drill the holes for the lock cylinder, the thumb
turn, and the lever and six other penetrating holes. Please
be sure to drill from the inside out and the outside in
respectively to prevent burrs and other damage to the door.

1. Swing the door almost closed up to the door jamb and draw the latch center line on the
door jamb to match the latch center line on the door.
2. Place the strike paper template onto the door jamb, aligning it to the latch center line,
and mark the centers of the holes on the door jamb as specified by the paper template.
Following the markings, drill 2 holes, 1" (25.4mm) in diameter and 1-1/8" (29mm)deep, on
the door jamb and then chisel out a rectangular groove (the line segments of the strike
paper template) 1" (25.4mm) in width, 3-5/16" (84mm) in height and 1-1/8" (29mm) deep
based on the positions of the 2 holes.
3. At the position specified by the paper template, cut a groove 1-5/16" (33mm) in width,
4-7/8" (124mm) in height and 5/32" (4mm) deep on the door jamb to provide a level
surface on the door jamb once the strike is installed.
4. Finally, following the markings, drill 2 guiding holes, 1/8" (3mm) in diameter and 19/32"
(15mm) deep, to fasten the strike with strike screws
(for a metal door, metal screws can be used to fasten the strike).
Caution : 1. Doors with a thickness greater or less than 55mm use strike plates of different
specifications (as illustrated below). Please chisel out the groove for the strike
plate as appropriate according to the strike specifications and by referring to the
paper template markings.
2. The strike provided by the manufacturer must be used to prevent a malfunction
of automatic locking as a result of the security latch's inability to depress.

Q&A
Troubleshooting
I always hear 5 beeps after each operation and the indicator
in the middle flashes a yellowish red light. What does it mean?
Q
AIf this problem continues, please contact the distributor for assistance as
soon as possible.
While testing the lock after installing it, I discovered it going
unresponsive to any subsequent card reading after the initial one.
Is it malfunctioning?
First, please make sure that the lock is in general mode, with the mode
switch (automatic locking/general) pushed to the bottom. Then, determine
if it functions normally by having a card read. Generally speaking, this
situation usually occurs as a result of the user's failure to close the door
while testing the automatic locking function.
A
Q
In automatic locking mode, how long the door will be
automatically re-locked if the door is not opened right away
following the reading of a valid card?
Q
AThe door will be re-locked automatically after 10 seconds if not opened.
Errors continue to occur as I enter a valid password. How do I
troubleshoot?
Q
AGenerally speaking, this may be owing to the accidental pressing of other
keys. Resetting the password is recommended. If the same situation
also occurs when others enter passwords, please contact the distributor.
How to modify the password while entering the wrong number?
Q
APlease press the "*" key to clear all the numbers entered previously and
input the correct password again.
16
Q&A
Troubleshooting
Why would the numbers "1" and "7" on the keypad light up and the
keypad become nonfunctioning when using the password to
the door?
unlock
Q
A
This occurs because the process took too long. When using the password to
the door, please finish entering the password within 30s.
Numbers "1" and "7" will automatically light up if more than 30s pass.
Please wait 10s before retry.
unlock
I use the password to open the door, but I see the key-shaped
icon (the Entry Prohibition indicator) flashing on the panel every
time I press the Start button.
This is because someone previously tried to open the door with invalid
passwords (3 times at least).
Method 1 : Open the door with a valid card. The lockout will be automatically
relieved.
Method 2 : A new attempt will be permitted after a wait of 3 minutes.
A
Q
When a proximity card has been enrolled multiple times, would
this lower the allowable number of registrations?
Q
ANo. The system is capable of identifying the proximity card as an enrolled
one.
All the related setups remain unchanged.
After each operation, I always hear 10 beeps and see a red
battery-shaped icon appearing on the left hand side of the panel
with locking occurring automatically while in general mode.
What does this mean?
Q
A
This indicates that your batteries will soon be depleted.
Please replace the batteries immediately to avoid being unable to open the
lock. In addition, if the batteries are not changed immediately, the system
will execute automatic locking to ensure the security of your home.
