You can also use the measuring cup when using the blender attachment (5) or whisk attachment (6) to
process your food.
When using the measuring cup for processing, only fill a maximum amount of 10 fl oz / 300
ml ( ). Otherwise, liquid may run or splash out of the measuring cup.
When using the whisk attachment (6), work with the switch (2) and maximum speed level
5”. Do not use the TURBO switch (3).
7. Getting started
The hand blender is suitable for the following applications:
chopping and pureeing fruit and vegetables in soups, sauces and dips
mixing drinks
making milkshakes
whipping cream, beating egg whites, etc.
making mayonnaise or mixing dessert
It is recommended that you adjust the speed of the hand blender to the food you are
processing.
When using the blender attachment (5), select a lower speed for soft foods and a higher or
the TURBO speed for harder foods.
When using the whisk attachment (6), make the speed dependent on the desired processing
result.
7.1 Operation with blender attachment (5)
If possible, put the food you wish to chop in a tall, narrow container with a flat bottom. This is perfect to
achieve even pureeing results. Of course, you can also use the blender in a normal saucepan.
In order to avoid injuries from the rotating blade, only switch the hand blender on once the blender
attachment (5) is in the food.
The procedure is as follows:
Put the food to be processed in a suitable container or saucepan.
Place the blender attachment (5) into the food vertically.
Start the hand blender as required with the switch (2) and select a suitable speed with the speed
controller (1). If you want to use the highest speed directly, you can start the hand blender with the
TURBO switch (3) instead. Keep the selected button pressed during the mixing or blending process. If
the blender attachment (5) sticks to the bottom of the container, release the button briefly and then
continue mixing.
To ensure even processing of the mix, move the hand blender gently backwards and forwards.
SilverCrest SSSH 250 A1
US-EN - 15
When you have the results you want, release the switch (2) or TURBO switch (3) while the blender
attachment (5) is still in the mixture.
Wait for the blade to stop moving before removing the blender attachment (5) from the pureed food.
If you notice any unusual noises during
operation, e.g., squeaking or similar, apply
a small amount of neutral cooking oil to the
drive shaft of the blender attachment(5).
Please also refer to the adjacent diagram.
To make cleaning easier, hold the blender attachment (5) in a container of clean water
immediately after use and then briefly press the switch (2) several times.
7.2 Operation with whisk attachment (6)
To avoid splashing when mixing liquids, use the whisk attachment (6) maximum at speed level
5”. Never use it with the TURBO switch (3).
Fill the liquid to be processed into the supplied measuring cup (fill to a maximum of 10 fl oz / 300 ml) or
another narrow, tall container with a flat bottom. This is perfect to achieve even processing results.
To avoid injuries caused by the rotating whisk attachment (6), do not switch on the hand blender until the
whisk attachment (6) is immersed in the material to be blended.
The procedure is as follows:
Put the food to be processed in a suitable container.
Place the whisk attachment (6) into the food vertically.
Start the hand blender with the switch (2) and select a suitable speed with the speed controller (1).
Keep switch (2) pressed during operation. If there is too much splashing, reduce the speed.
To ensure even processing of the mix, move the hand blender gently backwards and forwards.
When you have the results you want, release the switch (2) while the whisk attachment (6) is still in the
mixture.
Wait for the whisk attachment (6) to stop moving before removing it from the processed food.
