Predetermined breaking point
Important information
In this instruction manual the recommended
reference values for the operating speed
refer to appliances with a 7-setting rotary
switch. For appliances with a 4-setting
rotary switch you can find the values in
brackets after the values for a 7-setting
rotary switch.
Predetermined breaking
point
To prevent serious damage to your appli-
ance if it is overloaded, the drive shaft has
an insert (predetermined breaking point).
If the appliance is overloaded, only the
insert will break, not the drive shaft. A spare
part for the insert is included in the scope
of supply and can easily be replaced.
Otherwise it is also available from customer
service (order no. 623944).
How to replace the insert
X Fig. C
Remove the defective insert using a
screwdriver (1.). Before pressing in the new
insert, check that the four broken pegs of
the old insert are no longer positioned in the
drive shaft.
To attach the new insert:
Position the insert so that the pegs fit
into the holes (2.).
Rotate the insert until both lugs fit into
the recesses (3.) and press into the
casing.
Operation
Cube cutter insert
W Warning!
Guidelines for usage!
The cube cutter is only suitable for cutting
potatoes (raw or boiled), carrots, cucum-
bers, tomatoes, peppers, onions, bananas,
apples, pears, strawberries, melons, kiwi
fruit, eggs, soft sausage (e.g. mortadella)
and boiled or fried meat from poultry without
bones.
Very soft cheese (e.g. mozzarella, sheep’s
cheese) cannot be processed.
With sliced cheese (e.g. Gouda) and hard
cheese (e.g. Emmental), the quantity
processed in a single operation must not
exceed 3 kg.
Before processing pip and stone fruit
(apples, peaches, etc.), remove the pips or
stones. Before processing boiled or fried
meat, remove the bones.
Food must not be frozen.
W Warning!
Guidelines for usage!
If these guidelines are not observed, the
cube cutter including the cutting grid and
the rotating blade may be damaged.
If the cube cutter is not used as intended
or is modified or used improperly, Robert
Bosch Hausgeräte GmbH cannot assume
liability for any damage. Also excluded is
liability for damage (e.g. blunt or deformed
blades) resulting from the processing of
unapproved foodstuffs.
Important information:
Fruit/vegetables should not be too ripe
as the juice may leak out.
Leave cooked food to cool down before
dicing it, as it will then be firmer and the
result of dicing will be better.
The length of the cubes can be influ-
enced by increasing or reducing the
pressure on the pusher.
Operating speed
Select the operating speed according to the
food to be diced.
