3. CONTROLLER FUNCTIONS
3.1 GENERAL
The ‘MINERVA MX/MZX’ fire controllers have a large
number of built-in functions. These functions allow system
parameters to be viewed and/or changed and a number of
operations to be performed.
As the available functions allow access to system
parameters, it is necessary to restrict the use of these
functions to trained staff. This is achieved by the use of
passcodes. In order to gain access to the controller
functions, the user enters a passcode via the front panel
keypad. The function is then either selected from the menu.
Access to the keypad is gained via the five ‘Softkeys’ on the
Operator Display Module (see Fig. 1) or MX2/MZX125/
MZX250 Display Control Module (see Figs. 2, 3 and 4).
3.2 MOVING THE CURSOR
The cursor is moved through the options using the softkey
associated with the double arrow sign ‘>>’.
3.3 ENTERING INFORMATION
When the cursor is over information that can be changed,
either use the ‘+’ or ‘-’and softkeys or enter the number/
letter via the keypad.
Note: For speed, Point Numbers should be entered
via the keypad.
