LEVOIT LV-PUR131 True HEPA Air Purifier is a high-performance air purifier designed to improve air quality in your home. It features a 3-stage filtration system with a pre-filter, activated carbon filter, and True HEPA filter to effectively remove 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns, including dust, pollen, pet dander, smoke, and odor. With a CADR of 135 CFM, it is suitable for rooms up to 300 square feet. The air purifier also has a built-in air quality sensor that automatically adjusts the fan speed to maintain optimal air quality.

IMPORTANT: Please read, understand, and comply with all of the instructions provided in this manual before

using the device. Failure to comply with the instructions given in this manual and/or using the device in ways

other than the ones mentioned in this manual may result in serious injury and/or damage to the product.

• DO NOT operate the unit if cord or plug is damaged. Doing so may result in damage to the unit or injury.

• DO NOT run the power cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or similar

coverings. DO NOT ROUTE CORD UNDER FURNITURE OR APPLIANCES. Place the power cord away

from high-trac areas.

• Only use the air puriﬁer as described in this manual.

• DO NOT handle the unit with wet hands. Thoroughly dry your hands before handling any part of the air

puriﬁer.

• Hair, loose clothing and body parts can get caught in the machine and may result in injury. Keep hair, loose

clothing and body parts away from openings and moving parts.

• DO NOT unplug the air puriﬁer by pulling on the cord. Doing so may result in electrical spark or ﬁre. Unplug

the unit by grasping and pulling the plug.

• DO NOT use an extension cord with this unit.

• Place the air puriﬁer so that the power cord easily reaches a standard electrical outlet for a polarized plug.

• DO NOT place the air puriﬁer near sources of heat, such as stove tops, ovens, radiators or computers.

• Unplug the appliance from the power supply before servicing.

• This unit should be inspected frequently. Dirt that has been collected should be removed regularly to prevent

excessive accumulation that may result in ﬂashover or ﬁre.

• DO NOT use the air puriﬁer outdoors or on wet surfaces.

• DO NOT use the air puriﬁer in an enclosed space where ﬂammable, combustible or explosive gasses are

present.

• DO NOT use in an area where toxic vapors, ﬂammable dust or oxygen tanks are present.

• DO NOT place open ﬂames, including candles, directly in front of the air puriﬁer.

• It is important to keep all objects away from the air intake grill.

• DO NOT remove the back cover while the air puriﬁer is on. Doing so will automatically turn o the unit.

• Place the air puriﬁer on a ﬂat, solid, stable surface. Never place the unit on soft surfaces such as a bed or

sofa.

• Properly position the air puriﬁer so that dirty air is not drawn across your head or body while sitting or

sleeping.

• Child supervision is required while the air puriﬁer is on. Do not allow children to play on or near the air

puriﬁer.

1. Open the back cover of the air puriﬁer

and remove both ﬁlters from their plastic

packaging. Reinstall the ﬁlters, ﬁrst with the

Activated Carbon ﬁlter (black) followed by

the HEPA ﬁlter (white). Make sure the pull

tabs are facing outward.

NOTE: While the display is o, you can press any button

(except for the Power button) to turn on the display.

Operation

Button Controls

On/O button.

Press the Display button to turn

o the display while the air puriﬁer

is operating.

The Sleep Mode button sets

the air puriﬁer to the lowest

setting possible to create a quiet

environment while producing

clean air. Press the Sleep Mode

button to activate this function.

You can press the Sleep Mode

button, Speed button, or Auto

button, to exit out of Sleep mode.

NOTE: Sleep Mode is the lowest fan speed.

2. Replace the back cover by aligning the

bottom portion of the cover with the inlets

on the bottom of the housing. Slowly close

the cover by aligning the top portion of the

back cover with the inlets at the top of the

opening.

3. Plug the unit into an electrical outlet. The unit

will chime indicating that it is connected to a

power source.

4. Press the Power button to turn on the air

puriﬁer; the fan will automatically default to

Low Speed.

Press the Speed button to cycle

through the unit’s fan speeds:

Low, Normal and High.

The Timer button allows you to

set the air puriﬁer to run from 1-12

hours. To set the timer, press the

Timer button to cycle through

the dierent time settings. When

you reach your desired time, the

display will ﬂash 3 times before

setting. The unit will automatically

power o once the timer is

ﬁnished. To cancel the timer, press

the Timer button until the display

reads “-:--,” and wait until “-:--”

ﬂashes 3 times.

NOTE: Fan speed cannot be adjusted while on Auto or

Sleep Mode.

Press the Auto button to activate

and deactivate the air puriﬁer’s

automatic sensor mode. The

automatic sensor adjusts the air

puriﬁer’s fan speed according to

the current air quality to provide

clean air for your living space.

The air quality indicator will also

illuminate on the LED display; the

table below shows the dierent

colors of the air quality indicator in

correlation to both air quality and

fan speed.

NOTE: Press the Auto button, Sleep button, or Speed

button to exit out of Auto Mode.

1. Power o and unplug the device. Remove the

back cover.

2. Remove both HEPA and Activated Carbon

ﬁlters from the housing. Use the pull tabs on

each ﬁlter to remove them.

Maintenance

Replacing the Air Filters

If your air ﬁlters can no longer ﬁlter fresh air, they

must be changed to ensure the lifetime of your

air puriﬁer. Follow the steps below to properly

install new air ﬁlters in your unit. You can also

scan the QR code to purchase new air ﬁlters.

The Change Filter Icon

It is recommended to change the air ﬁlters about

every 6 months—this is based on the average

daily use as well as the average air quality in

the U.S. The “Change Filter” icon will turn on to

remind you to check the air ﬁlters; this icon will

turn on sooner or later based on how often you

use your air puriﬁer.

If the “Change Filter” icon has turned on, please

remember to reset the air puriﬁer after checking

the ﬁlters by pressing the black reset button

inside the vent on the side of the air puriﬁer (See

Resetting the Air Filter Lifetime).

NOTE:

• When the “Change Filter” icon turns on, it

does not necessarily mean that you must

change your ﬁlters. However, it is important

to watch out for the following signs of expired

ﬁlters:

• Increased operating noise

• Decreased airﬂow

• Clogged ﬁlters

• Increased presence of odors

• The environment in which the air puriﬁer is

being used may also extend or shorten the

lifetime of the air ﬁlters. Using your air puriﬁer

in an environment of relatively high pollution

may mean you will need to change the air

ﬁlters more often.

• If the air pollution in your environment is very

high, there is a possibility that the ﬁlters may

not be completely eective and may need to

be replaced before the “Change Filter” icon

lights up.

• Please remember to reset the air puriﬁer after

changing the air ﬁlters.

Cleaning The Dust Sensor

1. Turn o and unplug the air puriﬁer.

2. Open the dust sensor cover.

3. Use a cotton swab, dipped in clean water, to

clean the lens.

4. Wipe the lens dry with a dry, clean cotton

swab.

NOTE:

• The ﬁlters cannot be cleaned manually. If necessary,

purchase new ﬁlters for the unit on Amazon.com.

• The back cover must be placed back on the unit in order

for it to power on.

3. Carefully remove the new ﬁlters from their

plastic packaging and place the Activated

Carbon ﬁlter (black) into air puriﬁer. Always

use caution when handling the Activated

Carbon ﬁlter, use gloves if necessary when

installing this ﬁlter.

4. Once the Activated Carbon ﬁlter is installed,

place the HEPA ﬁlter (white) into the unit. Make

sure the pull tabs on both ﬁlters are facing the

opening.

5. Replace the back cover onto the housing as

noted in the Set-Up section.

6. Plug in and turn the unit on. Use a pen, pencil

or other small object to press the black reset

button inside the reset button vent. The

“Change Filter” icon should now be o.

Levoit warrants all products to be of the highest quality in

material, craftsmanship, and service. eective starting from

the date of purchase.

Levoit will replace any product found to be defective due to

manufacturer ﬂaws based on eligibility; refunds are available

within the ﬁrst 30 days of purchase. This warranty extends

only to personal use and does not extend to any product

that has been used for commercial, rental, or any other

use in which the product is not intended for. There are no

warranties other than the warranties expressly set forth with

each product.

This warranty is non-transferrable. Levoit is not responsible

in any way for any damages, losses or inconveniences

caused by equipment failure or by user negligence, abuse,

or use noncompliant with the user manual or any additional

safety, use, or warnings included in the product packaging

and manual.

This warranty does not apply to the following:

• Damage due to abuse, accident, alteration, misuse,

tampering or vandalism.

• Improper or inadequate maintenance.

• Damage in return transit.

• Unsupervised use by children under 18 years of age.
