avoidspillsistonoteatordrinknearyoursystem.
■ SomeproductshaveareplaceableCMOSbatteryon
thesystemboard.Thereisadangerofexplosionif
theCMOSbatteryisreplacedincorrectly.Replacethe
batterywiththesameorequivalenttyperecommended
bythemanufacturer.
Disposeofbatteriesaccordingtothemanufacturers
instructions.IftheCMOSbatteryrequiresreplacement
insurethataqualiedtechnicianperformsthetask.
■ Whenthecomputeristurnedoff,asmallamountof
electricalcurrentstillowsthroughthecomputer.To
avoidelectricalshock,alwaysunplugallpowercables,
removethebatteryandmodemcablesfromthewall
outletsbeforecleaningthesystem.
■ Unplugthesystemfromthewalloutletandrefer
servicingtoqualiedpersonnelif:
–Thepowercordorplugisdamaged.
–Liquidhasbeenspilledintothesystem.
–Thesystemdoesnotoperateproperlywhentheoperating
instructionsarefollowed.
–Thesystemwasdroppedorthecasingisdamaged.
–Thesystemperformancechanges.
