have chosen a high-quality product.
Before you start using the shaver, get familiar with it and read this user manual carefully. Primarily pay
attention to the safety instructions and utilize the shaver only as described in this user manual and for the
specified purposes.
Keep this user manual for later reference. If you give the shaver to someone else, also give them all the
documents.
1. Safety instructions
Before using the shaver for the first time, carefully read the
following instructions and obey all warnings, even if you are
familiar with handling electronic devices. Keep this user manual
safe for future reference. If you sell or give the shaver away,
provide this user manual, too. It is part of the product.
Explanation of the symbols used
This symbol identifies an impending dangerous situation that, if not
avoided, could result in major injuries or even death.

This shaver can be used by children older than 8, by persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, and by
anyone who lacks experience and knowledge if they are
supervised or instructed regarding the safe use of the shaver
and understand the hazards resulting from this. Do not allow
children to play with the shaver. Do not allow children to clean
or perform user maintenance on the device without supervision.
Small parts present a choking hazard. Also, keep the packaging
foil away from children. It can cause suffocation.
Keep the shaver and power adapter dry.
The shaver and power adapter are not waterproof so never use
them in the shower or bathtub under any circumstances.

completely in water. There is an electric shock hazard!
If the shaver has fallen into water, first remove the power
adapter from the power outlet. Otherwise, there is an electric
shock hazard!
If you see smoke, hear unusual noises or smell odors, switch the
shaver off immediately and remove the power adapter from the
power outlet. In these cases, do not use the shaver again before
it has been checked by an expert. Do not inhale the smoke from
a possible device fire. If you have inhaled the smoke, see a
doctor. Inhaling smoke can damage your health.
Check the shaver, cord and power adapter for damage before
use. If there is damage, do not use the shaver again to avoid
hazards.

Make sure that no open fires (for example, burning candles) are

Never touch the power adapter or cord with wet hands because

cord itself.
Make sure that the power outlet is always easily accessible so
that you can pull the power adapter from the outlet quickly in an
emergency.
Always route the cord so that it is not pinched or damaged.

Never use the shaver if the Blade system is damaged. You could

The shaver is intended only for private use, not for industrial or commercial purposes. In addition, do not
use the shaver outside closed rooms. This shaver complies with all relevant norms and standards in
conjunction with CE conformity. Compliance with these standards is no longer guaranteed in the event of
a change to the shaver that has not been coordinated with the manufacturer. The manufacturer denies
any and all liability from damage or malfunctions resulting from such action.

6. Before using
Remove the shaver and accessories from the packaging.
Inspect the shaver for damage. If you find any damage, do not use the shaver.
The shaver can be operated from the battery or from the cord.
6.1. Charging the battery
Proceed as follows to charge the battery:
Connect the plug on the power adapter to the Charging connection [9] on the bottom of the shaver.
Plug the power adapter into an easily accessible power outlet. The Charge display [4] provides
information about the state of charge while charging the battery. The state of charge is displayed in
percent from 0 to 100 in steps of 10.
Disconnect the power adapter from the power outlet and from the shaver when the Charge display [4]
shows 100. The battery is now completely charged.
7. First use
Use the shaver only for dry shaving.
The shaver can be operated from the battery or from the cord.

7.1. Corded operation
Proceed as follows to use the shaver in corded operation:
Connect the plug on the power adapter to the Charging connection [9] on the bottom of the shaver.
Plug the power adapter into an easily accessible power outlet.
Use the shaver as described in the next section.
After use, disconnect the power adapter from the power outlet and from the shaver.
7.2. Battery operation
Proceed as follows to use the shaver in battery operation:
Remove the protective cap.
Press the On/Off button [3] to power the shaver.
The state of charge will be shown in the Charge display [4] during operation.
Move the shaver over your skin in circles using light pressures. Always hold the shaver perpendicular
to your skin. You can also stretch your skin using your free hand to make your whiskers stand up.
Please note that your skin may become slightly red or irritated after shaving. This is completely
normal because your skin first has to get used to this type of shaving. It may take two to three
weeks until your skin has become accustomed to the shaver.
After shaving, turn off the shaver by pressing the On/Off button [3].
Put the protective cap on the Blade system [1] after use.
Clean the shaver as described in section 8.1 Cleaning.
7.3. Using the Trimmer
You can trim long whiskers or sideburns using the Trimmer [8]. Proceed as follows to use the Trimmer [8]:
Open the Trimmer [8] by pressing on the bar of the Trimmer [8] and pushing it up.
Press the On/Off button [3] to power the shaver.
After use, turn off the shaver by pressing the On/Off button [3].
Clean the Trimmer [8] using the cleaning brush.
Close the Trimmer [8] by pressing on the bar of the Trimmer [8] and pushing it down.

7.4. Travel lock
Switch on the Travel lock [5] to prevent the shaver from being switched on unintentionally. Proceed as
follows:
Press the On/Off button [3] until the symbol for the Travel lock [5] flashes.
If the On/Off button [3] is now pressed, the symbol for the Travel lock [5] flashes a few times.
However, the shaver does not switch on.
You can switch the Travel lock [5] off again as follows:
Press the On/Off button [3] until the shaver switches on. The symbol for the Travel lock [5] flashes a
few times during this process and then goes out after a short time.
You can now switch the shaver on and off again using the On/Off button [3].
8. Cleaning / maintenance
8.1. Cleaning
Before cleaning, disconnect the shaver from electric power as otherwise you might get an electric
shock!
Before cleaning, switch off the shaver to avoid hazards.
Never immerse the shaver in water or other liquids.
Do not use compressed air, scouring pads or aggressive cleaners to clean the shaver.
Cleaning the shaver after every use is recommended to get the best shaving results.
8.1.1. Cleaning after every use
Cleaning the Blade system
Remove the protective cap.
Clean the blade heads of the Blade system [1] using the supplied cleaning brush.

Press the Unlock button [2] to open the Blade system. WARNING! You cannot remove the Blade
system [1].
Clean the inside of the Blade system [1] and the trap using the enclosed cleaning brush.
Close the Blade system [1] until you hear it latch.
Replace the protective cap on the Blade system [1].
Cleaning the Trimmer
Open the Trimmer [8] by pressing on the bar of the Trimmer [8] and pushing it up.
Clean the Trimmer [8] using the supplied cleaning brush.
Add a drop of sewing machine oil to the Trimmer [8] every 6 months or so.
Close the Trimmer [8] by pressing on the bar of the Trimmer [8] and pushing it down.
8.1.2. Thorough cleaning
If the Clean [7] symbol appears, a thorough cleaning is necessary. Proceed as follows:
Remove the protective cap.
Press the Unlock button [2] to open the Blade system. WARNING! You cannot remove the Blade
system [1].
Clean the inside of the Blade system [1] and the trap under running water.
Wait until the Blade system [1] and the trap are dry.
Close the Blade system [1] until you hear it latch.
Replace the protective cap on the Blade system [1].
8.2. Maintenance
If the Replace blade heads [6] symbol appears, you must replace the blade heads.
The blade heads are wearing material and are not covered by the warranty. You can order new
blade heads here:

Remove the protective cap.

Remove the holder of the blade
heads and put it aside.
Remove the blade heads. A blade
head consists of a blade basket
and a blade.

Place the new blade heads into the
blade unit. Make sure that the
recess on the blade head lies in the
guide of the blade unit.
Now place the holder of the blade
heads into the blade unit again.
Carefully rotate the lock opposite
to the direction of the arrow until
the holder of the blade heads is
tight.
Close the Blade system [1] until you hear it latch.
Replace the protective cap on the Blade system [1].

9. Storage when not being used
If you are not going to use the shaver for a while, clean it as described in section 8.1 Cleaning. Put the
protective cap in place to protect the Blade system [1] against damage. To maintain the battery
capacity, you should recharge the battery at regular intervals. Store the shaver and accessories in a
clean, cool and dry place, for example in the travel bag.
10. Environmental information and disposal specifications
10.1. Disposing of the packaging
Sort the packaging, before you dispose of it. Dispose of paperboard and
cardboard with the recycled paper service and wrappings with appropriate
collection service.
10.2. Disposing of used devices
Do not dispose of used devices together with household waste! If at any time in the
future you should not use this shaver anymore, please dispose of it in compliance
with the applicable regulation in your state or country. This ensures professional
recycling of used devices and excludes negative consequences for the environment.
Make sure that the disposal is in compliance with local regulations and EPA
recommendations (www.epa.gov).
