INSTALLING:
1. Remove trim around screen/display.
2. Remove screws that hold screen to dash.
3. Disconnect main 52-pin harness from the back of the screen by lifting up on the “handle” to
release the plug.
4. Plug in the main 52-pin factory harness that was just unplugged, into the female end of the
T-harness.
5. Before you find a location to mount (hide away) the interface module, it is necessary to
visually have the update port (LED) side of the module, facing you during the programming
procedure (do not pay attention to the number of flashes coming from the module! as it is
NOT important to complete programming.)
6. Pay very close attention to the next batch of instruction, as it will only be used for 2017
Panasonic 8.2" screen on Challenger/Charger platforms! (newer platforms may need this in
future)
7. This particular firmware is one that MUST be "Forced" into the vehicles. Meaning, you are
going to have to duplicate step (A.) from 4 to 6 times before the vehicle will interrupt the
O.E.M... 8.2 screens (displaying camera image.)
8. Before entering the vehicle make sure to physically close ANY open zones (door, hood,
trunk.....etc.)
9. After entering the vehicle, shut the driver's door. Making sure all other zones are closed as
well. Turn IGN to the run position. Look at your instrument cluster, in order to set up NAV
TV settings for your module, you will need to bring up the "FM display on your cluster" (this
is achieved by using the left side of the steering wheel controls..."Ok...up & down buttons")
each time the IGN is cycled on and off you will have to push the "OK" button to exit the
"Push Brake to start vehicle prompt" that is covering your NAV TV menu!)
10. Return the IGN to the off position.
11. Turning back to the run position, making sure your cluster is displaying FM Stereo, push
and hold the "MUTE" button (left of hazard switch) for 15 to 20 seconds. After the vehicle
goes into programming mode, you will see NAV TV SETTINGS prompt at the bottom of the
FM display on your instrument cluster. It will automatically start you into programming the
functions of the module.
* *note*....programming is performed through the mute button, tuning knob, and
enter button (middle of tuning knob!)
* Mute is used for entering programming.
* Tuning Knob is to scroll through menu. (1 click to the right for each option.)
* Enter is to cycle through each menu setting, as well as to EXIT programming.
GEAR: AUTO/STICK (auto or manual transmission)
SWITCH: RELAY/AVSW/SVS-6 (set to relay)
R.V.C: O.E.M/AFTERMARKET/OFF (set to aftermarket)
F-R.V.C: WANT TO FORCE REAR CAMERA ON (set to yes or no)
F-CAM: DOES VEHICLE HAVE FRONT CAMERA (set to yes or no)
EXIT: MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT CLUSTER AFTER CHOOSING "EXIT" IF YOU SEE
THE WORD "STORING" AFTER ENTERING EXIT, PROGRAMMING IS COMPLETE
Turn IGN off. Begin to look at the modules LED, wait approximately 30/45
seconds, the LED will STOP flashing steadily. After the LED stops flashing on the
module, (proceed with next step.)
* *note*....This step will be repeated no less than 3 times up to 6 times on 2017
Panasonic 8.2" Chargers/Challengers. Usually four or five attempts will suffice.
L. After the LED on the module STOPS flashing, START the vehicle. Let vehicle run for 120
seconds (2 minutes.) After 2 minutes return the IGN to the OFF position. At this time it is
mandatory to allow the LED on the module to STOP flashing 30/45 seconds after the
vehicle has been returned to the OFF position.
M. Repeat the sequence in the last step minimum of 4 times.
N. On the fourth cycle of the 2 minute run procedure, with vehicle still running. Apply brake
and place vehicle into REVERSE. At which time the Panasonic 8.2" screen should be
interrupted and you should see either a blue/black screen, (or camera image, if camera is
powered up!)
If any technical issues persist, perform a CAN reset (exit vehicle, close all open
zones, lock vehicle, move ALL proximity keys fobs no less than 10 feet away from
vehicle and let sit for 5/10 minutes. *note* If NAV TV programming gave you a
"STORING" message after initial programming no further "Info Cluster
Programming is needed!)
Repeat step A. until firmware is accepted into Vehicle.
*note*....malfunctioning Cluster lights is normal behavior of the Vehicle during and
after firmware is accepted. DO NOT BE ALARMED!!! all functioning will return back
to normal.
Plug in the male 52-pin plug from the T-harness into the factory screen/display.
Lock the plug in by pushing down on the “handle”.
Connect the 24-pin plug on the T-harness to the 9002-2783 v2 module.
Connect the camera RCA to the yellow RCA on the 9002-2783 v2 T-harness. (NOTE: for
adding single camera. If installing a secondary front camera, connect video signals like
shown in FIGURE 2 on page 4.)
Connect the power for the camera to the white/red wire on the 9002-2783 v2 T-harness.
(there is an ACC feed at the lighter receptacle *pink/green* that can be used if the
white/red wire does not supply the proper amperage.)
Close and lock all doors and leave ignition key out of the ignition for 5 minutes to allow the
vehicle to perform a CAN reset.
Turn the ignition back on after 5 minutes and test the camera. Start the vehicle, press the
parking brake and shift into reverse to see the image.
Reassemble the vehicle in reverse order. Take care not to pinch or bind any wires or cables.

FAQ:
Q1. I hear no audio when my auxiliary source is playing.
A1. Verify that the audio RCAs are connected together in the Plug & Play T-Harness.
Q2. When I place the vehicle into reverse, I get a black/blue screen.
A2. Make sure the camera is getting sufficient power and the RCA is connected to the YELLOW RCA behind
the screen, NOT to the RCA on the 9002-2783 v2.
Q3. The camera image is displayed properly when the vehicle is in reverse, but there’s only a black/blue
screen when the camera is forced.
A3. Make sure the camera power is not connected to the reverse lamps for power. Camera power needs to
be connected to an accessory wire (cigarette lighter or OUTPUT 1).
Q4. When I force my OEM reverse camera, the image disappears after some time when traveling down
the road.
A4. Forcing the factory camera is not supported with the 9002-2783 v2 as it is data-controlled. Aftermarket
reverse cameras will stay on provided the camera is powered with ACC.
