AMPLIFIER CHOICE
In an 8 Ώ Amplifier configuration:
It is not the excess power of an amplifier that risks damaging the enclosure and the loudspeakers, but on the
contrary a power failure. Indeed, if the volume is too high, the amplifier saturates and generates parasitic signals
which risk to destroy the tweeter. The dynamic capacity and definition of Littora loudspeakers are high enough to
highlight highlights the qualities and defects of the amplifiers associated with them. Your dealer will be able to
direct you according to your tastes and your budget.
In a 70V/100V Amplifier configuration:
The use of an amplifier delivering a power 20% higher than the total power of the installation is recommended to
avoid overloading or damaging Littora products. Your dealer will be able to advise you according to your tastes
and your budget.
An amplifier used at full power, associated with a 70 V/100 V transformer can deliver dangerous voltages. Always
disconnect power from the amplifier and transformer before any handling in order to avoid any risk of electric
shock.
Follow the recommendations and instructions/configuration of your amplifier in order to connect correctly each
Littora 200 loudspeaker.
Choice of cables
Choose quality cables with an appropriate section for the length and for outdoor installation: your dealer will know
to advise you.
SPEAKER POSITIONING
OD STONE 8/OD SAT 5
The loudspeakers must be distributed in a line or in an arc of a circle in a homogeneous manner in order to best
cover the listening area.
The spacing between two loudspeakers will be at least 2 m for a listening area of between 2 and 6 m (fig. 14). He
is
However, it is possible to vary these distances to find the ideal compromise according to the layout conditions.
OD SUB 12
To supply the listening area optimally, place the OD SUB 12 as close as possible to the center of the installation,
avoiding basins (fountains, swimming pools, water deposits, etc.). The optimal listening zone corresponds to a
radius of 6 m around the sub.
For more bass, place it closer to a wall (fig. 15).
FACILITY
Before installing the loudspeakers, ensure that the chosen locations on the ceiling/wall/floor are not obstructed by
the passage an air duct for example, or by any cable likely to interfere with the installation.
These products are IP55 certified for increased resistance to water and dust. To preserve their lifespan, do not
subject them to a constant stream of water and never immerse them. After severe weather, it is advisable to wait
a few hours before switching the installation back on; natural drying will restore normal functioning nominal audio.
OD STONE 8
The design of the OD STONE 8 allows it to be placed on any surface without mounting. It can optionally be placed
or fixed using its attachment loop located on its base.
WALL MOUNTING
DO SAT 5 (fig.7)
Before attaching the products, verify that the supports are resistant, in perfect condition, and that they are suitable
for rest. in the time. For fixing the wall brackets (E), call a professional and use only screws and dowels suitable
for materials. To mount the loudspeakers, firmly fix the support using adaptors to the Materials. For a more
discreet installation, pass the cable through the central perforation as well as the notch located on its base (fig.
16). Make sure to keep about 30 cm of cable so that you can easily make the connection and orient the enclosure
afterwards. Then, orient the loudspeaker in the direction of the listening area and tighten the joints firmly with the
lockout screw (fig. 8).
FLOOR MOUNTING
DO SAT 5 (fig. 9)
Floor mounting is only done on earth or sand. Excluded are rigid floors made of metal, wood or concrete. Take the
stake (F) provided and plant it by hand about 4-5 cm from the ground. Then push in the stake as far as it will go
using a suitable maintenance tool. For a more discreet installation, pass the cable through the perforation central
as well as the opening situate at the base of the stake. Be sure to keep about 30 cm of cable in order to be able to
easy to connect and orient the speaker afterwards. The stake is breakable for installations on little ground. deep.
For this purpose, notches are available at 10 and 20 cm to facilitate cutting.
Warning: the pique section will generate cutting edges that can cause injuries.
Next, orient the enclosure in the direction of the listening zone and firmly tighten the joints with the locking screws.
(fig. 8).
OD SUB 12
To supply the listening area optimally, place the OD SUB 12 as close as possible to the center of the installation,
avoiding basins (fountains, swimming pools, water deposits, etc.). For more bass, it is possible to bring the OD
SUB 12 closer to a wall (Fig. 15). Prepare the location of the sub by digging a hole of 330 x 880 x 380 mm (fig.
10). Positioning (fig. 10 and 11): To take full advantage of the capabilities of the sub, make sure you have a
minimum space of 7 cm between the ground and its external part. Adjust the height of the vent to your liking by
exerting a rotation during its positioning in its location.
Then cover his body with about 2 cm of soil.
Caution: This product is not intended for use other than with the body buried.
CONNECTIONS
OD STONE 8
With its 5-wire cable, the OD STONE 8 adapts perfectly to an amplification of 70/100 V (fig. 5) or 8 Ω (fig. 4). For
To do this, make the appropriate connections using the waterproof cable connectors provided (B). In order to
avoid any disruption of the signal, take care to electrically insulate the strands which are not used using suitable
equipment
DO SAT 5
The power of the OD SAT 5 is adjusted using the two-position notched selector on the back. To get there, remove
the screw on the back of the satellite (fig. 6). Each position selects two values. It is the type of amplifier connected
to the speaker that determines the power emitted through the enclosure
Position dedicated to a traditional 8Ω hi-fi amplifier.
5W/100W, 10W/20W, 20W/40W and 40W/Θ
In these positions you can use a 70 V or 100 V amplifier.
Θ Do not use
This position requires the exclusive use of a 70 V amplifier. The use of a 100 V amplifier risks damage the
speaker and the amplifier.
OFF
Default location. No link is active.
OD SUB 12
With its 5-wire cable, the OD SUB 12 adapts perfectly to 70/100 V (fig. 13) or 8 Ω (fig. 12) amplification.
To do this, make the appropriate connections using the waterproof cable connectors provided (B).
In order to avoid any disturbance of the signal, take care to electrically insulate the strands which are not used
using equipment adapted.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

level. Once the characteristics of the loudspeaker have been fully stabilized, you will be able to enjoy full
performance of your Littora loudspeakers.
