1. Installation
Note:
Attach the headset to your PC fi rst, and switch it on.
Then install the driver software from the enclosed
driver CD.
Always use the same USB port for the headset. If you
want to use a different port for the headset after
installing the driver software, the device may not be
recognised.
1 Plug the headset directly into the USB port on your PC
and wait for your PC to recognise the new USB device.
2 Switch on the headset using the switch on the cable
remote control.
3 Insert the provided CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
4 If the installation program does not run automatically,
click „Start -> Run -> Search“ and select your CD-ROM
drive.
5 Click the „autorun.exe“ fi le and follow the instructions
on the screen.
6 When the starting screen appears, run the required
installation.
7 Restart the PC once the driver installation has fi nished.
2. Software Functions
To test the headset and adjust settings, double click the
symbol in the task bar at the bottom-right of the
screen.
2.1Registerkarte „Haupteinstellung“
2.1.1 In the Output Devices window, you can simulate
how many channels are to play sound. Six-channel
output is recommended. Activate the bass boost by
clicking the icon next to the symbol for 6-channel
output.
2.1.2 You can set the volume for each of the 5 speakers
individually using the symbol in the right
section of the window.
2.2 „Mixer“ tab page
2.2.1 This tab page allows you to customise the sound of
the headset.
2.2.1 We recommend that you activate the
Boost + 20dB“ checkbox in both microphone scales
by clicking the hammer symbol . This amplifi es
the sound at the microphone, which can be useful
for programs such as Teamspeak and Ventrilo, for
example.
2.3 „Effects“ tab page
2.3.1 Use this tab page to set individual effects.
You can use the 10-band equalizer or one of 16 different
presets (jazz, rock, classical…), for example.
You can also choose from 27 various surround effects
and 3 different room acoustic settings (small, medium
and large).
2.4 „Karaoke & Magic Voice“ tab page
2.4.1 You can distort and change the sound of your voice
on this tab page.
2.4.1 You can use the various symbols in the
Magic Voice“ section to give the voice a masculine
or feminine tone, for example. Choose from the
following modes: „Monster, Cartoon, Masculine,
Feminine“.

3. Cable Remote Control Functions
3.1 Volume (1): increases or decreases the volume
Microphone (2): switches the microphone on/off.
Even if the microphone is switched off, you can still
hear your own voice.
No voice is communicated to the caller, however.
On/Off (3): switches the headset on/off.

5. Safety instructions
Do not use the device in moist or extremely dusty areas,
on radiators or in the vicinity of heat sources.
This device is not designed for use outdoors.
Protect the device from pressure and impact.
Only qualifi ed professionals may open the device for
maintenance purposes.
Protect the device from splashes of water and direct
sunlight.
Clean the ear piece surfaces using a soft, dry cloth.
6. Troubleshooting:
No sound playback.
In the control panel, check that your operating system
has recognised the headset as a standard audio device.
To do so, select „Start -> Settings -> Control Panel ->
Sound and Audio Devices“ and choose the respective
device for the sound playback and output. This is usually
„C-Media USB Sound Device“.
6.1 Important:
Do not remove the USB headset from the USB port on
your PC if the red LED is illuminated on the cable
remote control. First, close all programs for media
playback and end all microphone functions.
If you are using other USB devices at the same time
as the USB headset, you should disconnect the USB
headset before removing the other devices. These
steps ensure optimum headset functionality.
If you are operating the headset and a USB webcam
simultaneously, reduce the bandwidth of the webcam
to the minimum. Do this by selecting the corresponding
option in your webcam software.
6.2 Recommended settings:
To ensure optimum sound quality, we recommend that
you apply the following settings as default.
Select the 6-channel output on the „Main Settings“ tab
page.
Activate the bass boost by clicking the „hammer symbol“
next to the symbol for 6-channel output.
Perform the following settings in the right window using
the symbol:
L/R = +10dB, C = +13dB, Ls/Lr = +18dB, Subwoofer =
+21dB
