1. Introduction
The On-Q/Legrand Satellite Surge Suppressor, P/N
364746-01, protects the home’s satellite products
from voltage spikes. It can be mounted on the On-Q
RF Coax Conditioning Module, P/N 364679-01, (see
Figure 1) which is typically installed in an On-Q
enclosure or placed in-line on a coaxial satellite feed
line.
2. Description
The On-Q Satellite Surge Suppressor features non-
degrading performance over time, low (65V)
clamping voltage, 500 Ampere surge capability and
no voltage overshoot. Its response time is 1
nanosecond and it is self-resetting. Both ends of the
Satellite Surge Suppressor contain female “F” style
connectors. One female end can be unscrewed to
expose a male “F” style connector.
3. Installation
NOTE: If applicable, refer to IS-0232 for specific installation instructions concerning the RF Coax
Conditioning Module.
A. Secure the Satellite Surge Suppressor to the RF Coax Conditioning Module mounting tab using the provided
retaining hex nut, if applicable (as shown in Figure 1).
B. Attach the satellite feed cable to the Satellite Surge Suppressor.
C. Connect the other end of the Satellite Surge Suppressor to the satellite or auxiliary inputs of the video distribution
module.
NOTE: Plan installation so that coaxial cable bends are not less than 2” radii for RG6 Quad Shield Coaxial
Cable.
