Safety Feature:
This unit has an internal thermal overload protector. When an overheat temperature is
reached, the heater will automatically shut off. Operation can only resume when the unit
is reset. (See instructions below)
To Reset Heater:
Unplug the heater and wait 10 minutes for the unit to cool down. After 10 minutes, plug
the heater in again and follow the Operating Instructions described in this manual.

1. Read all instructions before using this appliance.
2. This appliance is hot when in use. To avoid burns, don’t let bare skin touch hot surfaces. The air grille at the top of
this heater in particular will become hot when the heater is use. Keep combustible materials such as furniture,
pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, curtains and etc. at least 3 feet (0.9m) away from the front of the appliance. Keep
all items away from the sides and back of the appliance and take special care not to block the air intake or exhaust
vents. Use handles when moving this heater.
3. Extreme caution is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children and whenever the heater is left
operating and unattended.
4. Do not operate the appliance if the power cord or plug has been damaged or the heater has been damaged or
malfunctioned in any way. Take the appliance to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical
adjustment or repair.
5. Do not use outdoors.
6. Do not use the appliance in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate the appliance
where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
7. Do not run the power cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not
route cord under furniture or appliances. Take care to position the cord away from high traffic areas and such that it
can not be tripped over.
8. To disconnect the appliance, turn all controls “OFF”, then remove the plug from the outlet.
9. This appliance may be has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other; this item may be omitted if the
heater is not provided such plug).This appliance need to connect to properly grounded outlets only.(this item may
be omitted if the heater is not provided a grounding type attachment plug). This plug will fit fully in an outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
10. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric
shock or fire, or damage the appliance.
11. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces like a bed,
where openings may become blocked.
12. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids
are used or stored.
13. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause
fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
14. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocate power tap.
15. Do not attempt to burn wood or other materials in this heater.
16. When transporting or storing the heater, take care to keep both the unit and power cord/plug dry, free from
excessive vibration and away from heat sources.
17. This appliance comes equipped with an overheat protection safety device. Should the appliance begin to overheat
for any reason, it will automatically turn all heater functions of the appliance off. The appliance will have to be reset
prior to continuing use. To reset the overheat protection safety device, turn all controls, plug the appliance back
and turn on.
MAINTENANCE
Note
Light bulbs may become loose during shipping. If the flame effect is dim or does not operate properly at first, ensure that
the light bulbs are properly secured in the sockets (bulbs should be finger tight, do not over tighten). See “Replacing Light
Bulbs” Section of the manual for instructions.
When you first turn the heater on, it may emit a slight but harmless odor resulting from certain oils or greases being
heated as the appliance is used for the first time. This odor is perfectly safe and will stop shortly. It will not reoccur after
the first operation of this appliance.

REPLACING LIGHT BULBS:
1. Take off the front glass panel.
2. Remove the four screws from the side panel, located on the front of the unit, and remove front panel.
3. Locate and examine the bulbs to determine which bulb(s) require replacement.
4. Unscrew the bulb(s) counter clockwise.
5. Insert new bulb(s).
CLEANING
1. To remove dust from glass window, please use clean dry cloth.
2. To remove fingerprints or other marks from glass window, please use clean damp cloth. Do not spray glass cleaner or
other liquids directly onto the window.
3. Clean metal surfaces with a clean damp cloth making sure not to push dust or debris into any air intake or exhaust
vents.
4. Do not use abrasive cleaners or spray liquids on any part of the appliance.
HELPFUL ADVICE FOR INSTALLING FIREBOX INTO MANTEL
1. These instructions are provided in an easy to follow style. Simply follow the instructions in to properly
install unit.
2. Please retain all packaging until you have checked and counted all parts against the parts list.
3. Small parts should be kept away from young children.
4. The area around the unit should be kept free of animal hair, lint and other extraneous material that may
be drawn into the workings of the appliance and could affect its performance.
POSITIONING/LOCATING YOUR ELECTRIC FIREPLACE

Before attempting to perform any maintenance on this appliance, turn all controls to the
“OFF” position and unplug. Allow the appliance to be “OFF” For at least 10 minutes before
performing any maintenance in order to allow all components to cool properly.

Do not exceed the recommended Bulb wattage.
Use only 120V, 40W, E12 chandelier light bulb, Candelabra Base. The lamp holder is model E12.
When choosing a location for your new fireplace, ensure that the general instructions are properly followed.
For best result, install the fireplace out of direct sunlight.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CONTROL PANEL OPERATING PROCEDURES
NOTE:
1. When you first turn the heater on, it may emit a slight but harmless odor. This odor results from certain oils or greases
being heated as the appliance is used for the first time. This odor is perfectly safe and will stop shortly, it will not
reoccur after the first operation of the appliance.

Using the Control Panel:
Master Power Switch(A)
Open the cover and push button A down (1) to “on” position.(see FIG A)
FLAME EFFECT
Push O/I” (On/Off) button (B) or “O/I” (On/Off) button (M) on the remote control to begin flame effect. The red power
light and dimmer light will automatically come on. The flame effect can be adjusted by pressing the dimmer
button (C) or dimmer “ button (L) on the remote control. When pressed, the red light will blink and the flame
effect will cycle from high to low. Press the dimmer button (C) or dimmer button (L) on the remote control
again to lock in desired flame brightness. The red light “ “ will remain on. This brightness will be kept until the dimmer
” button (C) or dimmer “ ” button (L) on the remote control is pressed again.
HEAT SETTING
1. Turning on Master Power Switch (A) and “O/I” (On/Off) button (B) or “O/I” button (M) on the remote control
2. Press 650W” button (D) or “650W” button (K) on the remote control to active the low heater setting. The red
light above will indicate that the heater is functioning on low.
3. Press “650W” button (D) or “650W” button (K) on the remote control again to shut off the heater.
4. Press “1300W” button (E) or “1300W” button (J) on the remote control to active the high heater setting. The red
lights above “650W” and “1300W” buttons will indicate that the heater is functioning on high.
5. Press “1300W” button (E) or “1300W” button (J) on the remote control again to shut off the heater.
Note
When the heater begins to work, it will give off cool air for about 10 seconds before the heating function is activated

Grounding Instructions
This product must be grounded. If it should malfunction or break down, grounding provides a path of least resistance for
the electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock. This product is equipped with a cord with an equipment-grounding
conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and
grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. If the plug does not fit the
outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
This product is for use on a nominal 120V circuit and has grounding plug that looks like that plug illustrated below. Make
sure that the product is connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. No adapter should be used with
this product.
NOTE: A 15AMP,120 Volts circuit is required. Dedicated circuit is preferred but not essential in all cases, a dedicated
circuit will be required if, after installation, the circuit breaker trips or the fuse blows on a regular basis when the heater is
operating. Additional appliance on the same circuit may exceed the current rating of the circuit break.
WARNING:
1 Ensure the power cord is not installed so that it is pinched or against a sharp edge and ensure that the power
cord is stored or secured to avoid tripping or snagging to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
2. Construction and electrical outlet wiring must comply with local building codes and other applicable regulations to
reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons.
3. Do not attempt to wire your own new outlets or circuits. To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury to persons,
always use a licensed electrician.

Using the Remote Control
This heater includes a remote control. To operate the appliance using the remote control, the Master Power Switch (A)
must be the ON” position. See below for directions to use the remote control:
