Clock Setting
You can set the year/month/day/time by selecting Main Settings Clock
Setting.
You can also select the date format.

Press the MENU button to display the setting items. Then select
Main Settings Clock Setting.

setting screen is displayed. Set the clock before using this unit.

Button hold function
This function prevents you from accidentally pressing this unit’s buttons while
carrying it around.
Press the MENU button of this unit for 2 seconds or more to set the button hold
function.

In button hold mode, appears on the LCD screen of this unit. The REC/ENTER
button, DISP button, UP button and DOWN button of this unit are disabled.
To cancel button hold mode, press the MENU button of this unit for 2 seconds or
more, or press the ON/OFF (Power) button to turn off the power of this unit.
Notes
ˎ The button hold function is only available when this unit is connected to a

amera by Wi-Fi. When not connected, the button hold function cannot be used.
ˎ The button hold function cannot be used during MENU display.
ˎ When the Wi-Fi connection between this unit and the camera is disconnected,
the button hold function is cancelled.

When you start recording by pressing the REC/ENTER button of this unit, the REC/
Wi-Fi lamp changes from blue to red and Ć appears at the bottom left of the
screen.

When this unit is connected to a camera by Wi-Fi, pressing the DISP button of this
unit switches this unit’s LCD screen display as follows:

Camera setting
Changing the camera settings via this unit’s MENU
You can change this unit’s settings by pressing the MENU button of this unit.
You can also change camera’s settings by pressing the MENU button of this unit
while it is connected to the camera by Wi-Fi.
ŞSteadyShot Setting
You can configure the SteadyShot setting of the camera by selecting MENU
* Camera Settings.
ON Uses SteadyShot.
OFF Does not use SteadyShot.
* The icon displayed on the LCD screen of this unit differs depending on the recording mode of
the connected camera.
ŞField Angle Setting
You can configure the field angle setting of the camera by selecting MENU
* Camera Settings.
120° Records with a field angle of 120°.
17 Records with a field angle of 170°.
* The icon displayed on the LCD screen of this unit differs depending on the recording mode of
the connected camera.
Notes
ˎ When this unit is not connected to a camera by Wi-Fi, the camera settings icon is
not displayed on the LCD screen of this unit.
ˎ The SteadyShot setting and field angle setting are only available with
compatible cameras. Also refer to the compatibility information.

Automatic exposure setting
When this unit is connected to a Sony Digital Still Camera QX series model or other
compatible camera, the exposure mode of the camera is automatically set to
Intelligent Auto”.

ˎ The automatic exposure setting function is not compatible with the HDR-AS15/
AS30V/AS100V

ˎ The automatic exposure setting function is only available with the compatible
cameras. Also refer to the compatibility information.
ˎ Depending on the connected camera model (if it has a mode dial etc.), the
exposure mode may be unchanged.
Automatic camera date setting
When this unit is connected to a Sony Digital Still Camera QX series model, the
date setting of this unit also appears in the camera.

Zooming
Depending on the connected camera, the zoom function is enabled during
recording.
When the Live-View display is on the LCD screen of this unit or during movie
recording, you can operate the camera zoom by pressing the UP/DOWN button of
this unit.

HDR-AS100V
When using the HDR-AS100V, you can operate up to 5 cameras at the same time
with this unit.
Preparing this unit

Select Connection Setting in Network Settings in the MENU
screen.

Select Multi connection.

Operates one camera with this unit.
MULTI connection
Operates more than one camera with this
unit.
Notes
ˎ The multi camer
a control function is only available with the compatible cameras.
ˎ When operating a camera that does not support the multi camera control
function, set this unit to

Registering a camera on this unit

Select in the MENU screen.
This unit shifts to registration standby mode. (After about 2 minutes,
registration standby mode is cancelled.)

Select [confg] [Wi-Fi] [multi] [NEW] in [SETUP] on the
camera.
[PREP] blinks on the display of the camera, and preparation for registration
starts.

When [OK] is displayed on the LCD screen of this unit, press the
REC/ENTER button of this unit to confirm registration.
When registration is completed, [DONE] appears on the display of the camera
and 2 seconds later recording mode is restored.

Repeat steps 1 to 3 to register each camera that you want to
connect.

ˎ For more details, refer to the Instruction Manual of the camera.
ˎ Regist

Connecting this unit to the cameras
This unit automatically connects to the registered cameras when the power to the
unit and the cameras is turned on.

Switching the Live-View display
You can press the UP/DOWN buttons of this unit to move the cursor and switch
the Live-View display on the LCD screen of this unit to the display of any of the
connected cameras.

Recording images
Press the REC/ENTER button of this unit to start recording movies or shooting
photos on all connected cameras.
To stop recording movies or interval photo recording, press the REC/ENTER button
of this unit again.

ˎ The operation command from this unit when under multi camera control is sent
to all connected cameras.
This unit can do the following.
ˋ Change the recording mode
ˋ Start and stop movie recording and interval photo recording
ˋ Operate the shutter to shoot photos
Other camera settings such as image quality etc. should be done on the camera.
ˎ The reaction time of the connected cameras may differ depending on the
situation of each camera. There may be a time lag between the connected
cameras when starting recording etc.
ˎ If the recording mode of the connected cameras differs, recording is conducted
according to the recording mode of each camera.
ˎ If one or more of the connected cameras are recording, the REC/Wi-Fi lamp of
this unit lights up red.
If you press the REC/ENTER button of this unit at this time, the command to stop
recording is sent to all the connected cameras.

Resetting the Network settings
To reset the Network settings of MULTI connection, conduct the following steps.
