Installation of Air Assist

Air Assist High Capacity Sheet Feeder:

The High Capacity Sheet Feeder now has an option to add 4 air fans to assist with sheet separation for difficult

materials. All High Capacity Sheet Feeders will be delivered “Air Assist Ready” so the fans can be added in the

future if required.

The Air Assist Kit cannot be fitted to older DS1200G3 Hi-Capacity Sheet feeder.

If Air Assist is required for older systems, the G4 Hi-Capacity Sheet Feeder module will need to be fitted.

The new Air Assist High Capacity Sheet Feeder module is backwards compatible with older DS-1200G3 models.

Installation Instructions

•Remove the Lift Cover –A0070477 (Left Hand) or A00704809 (Right Hand) removing the 2 screws highlighted below.

•Remove the Upper Support Cover –9114981W (Left Hand) or 9114982X (Right Hand) removing the 3

screws highlighted below.

Installation of Air Assist

•Mount the Fan Blower and Bracket to the inside of the

•Hi-Cap using the existing Clinch studs and E3502A x2

•Do this to both sides of the Hi-Cap.

•Use the P-Clips to secure the cable and feed the cable through the hole Indicated below.

•Mount the Fan Blower Assemblies to the Fan Bracket Assemblies using

A0005939 x4 and E3502A x4

•Remove the 2 Cap Head screws from the existing Splitter PCB and remove the posts behind.

•Mount the HC PCB Mount B2A-A0078854 and fix using the 2 posts removed before.

•Then fix the Splitter PCB back into place (as shown below).

Note: The Daughter Board on the Hi-Cap Module Hybrid Board 9105223G (180-812) must be Version ‘N’

•Feed the cable down to the PCBA switcher and plug the Cable into J2 or J3 depending whether it is the top or

bottom fan.

•The orange/black cable plugs from the Switcher PCBA J1 into J10 on the splitter PCB.

•This needs to be done both sides of the Hi-Cap

When all the Fan kit has been fitted remove the separator from the Hi-

Cap and replace the rollers with the supplied rollers C8153A(x2)

If more help feeding Glossy material is required, the

supplied infeed rollers can also be fitted.

Note: This may not be necessary for all material types.

Installation of Air Assist

•There is no hardware setup to be done in IMOS.

•The selection for Fan On or Off is done in the Job Setup under ‘Miscellaneous’.

All 4 fans are controlled together so single fans can not be turned off individually.

All the fans are either On or Off depending on the selection for each Job.
