7) Orientate INTERFACE to match with the conductors.
Each Interface is stamped with the corresponding wire size
for each side.
3) Unscrew drive bolt until connector is fully open. 1) Attach TAP wire in PIGGYBACK CLAMP.
Leave 10”- 20” (25 cm – 50 cm) of wire exposed.
2) Attach piggyback clamp to MAIN CONDUCTOR.
4) Hook C-BODY with hot-stick. 5) Capture TAP conductor FIRST.
*ALWAYS INSTALL TAP CONNECTOR TO THE
RIGHT OF THE PIGGYBACK CLAMP.*
6) Capture MAIN conductor SECOND.

*IMPORTANT*
8) Orientate INTERFACE on the short stub of the hot-stick in the same direction that it will be inserted into the tap
connector. This will allow easy removal of hot-stick.
9) Slide INTERFACE along MAIN CONDUCTOR
until it reaches the stop.
11) Use a deep socket and universal socket stick tighten drive
bolt until Hex Head shears off.
Make certain that socket is fully engaged.
12) The bolt head should break off at 110- 130 IN LBS
(12-14 NM)
13) IMPORTANT: REMOVE PIGGYBACK CLAMP
WHEN FINISHED.
10) Release interface from hot-stick. Make sure it is
fully inserted against the stop.
