This detailed operation manual is provided with your picture frame for you to obtain infor-
mation concerning product introduction, operating instructions, functional settings and safety
precautions. Please read all of the documents provided prior to installation and operation of
the player for the first time. You should keep this manual for future reference.

The PF5e does not have any internal memory to store
your digital pictures and does not included an external
memory card with the packaging. You will need to have
one external memory card (SD/MMC/MS/xD/MS Pro) with
photos files to operate this device.

Mode Button (STBY - Photo - Clock). Toggle between Photo and Clock
Menus. Also puts unit into Standby when pressed for 2 seconds.
Rotate in Photo mode. Change clock time in Clock mode.
Previous Photo in Photo mode. No function in Clock mode.
Enter in Photo mode. Change hour in Clock mode.
Next Photo in Photo mode. Change minute in Clock mode.
Change photo ratio in Photo mode. No function in Clock mode.
Photo color correction in Photo mode. No function in Clock mode.
Power On /Off Used to turn OFF or ON the device. Turning off device
will rest the clock. Please use Standby Mode (#1) to keep clock settings
Power Adapter Connector.

a. Connect the adjustable
stand to the photo frame
as shown:
b. Connect the AC Adapter to the wall power outlet. Connect the DC-out port of
the AC Adapter to the DC-in port of the player. As shown below:
c. Insert a memory card into the socket (be careful to insert the card properly).
Move the power switch on the PF5e to ON the position. You are now ready to
enjoy using your digital photo frame.

Chapter 3 Function Applications
When you turn ON your PF5e without a memory card installed, the unit will
automatically go to Clock Mode until you insert a memory card.
After a memory card is installed and you are powering ON the PF5e, your PF5e will
start photo slide show with photos in your memory card.
Note: Your PF5e does not support any music and video files.

At anytime, you can press any button to bring up this function bar.
The function is as describe as below.
The icons in function bar orders match
to your PF5e buttons.
There are two different Function Bar modes on this device.
A. Photo Mode
B. Clock Mode
To switch between these two modes, toggle Mode button. Also press and hold Mode
button (#1) for 2 seconds, the PF5e screen will be turned off (Standby).
1. Photo Mode: Toggle Mode Button to select Photo Mode.
The function bar function in the Photo mode is as below:

The function bar function in the Clock mode is as below:

This icon shows you that you are in Clock mode now. Switch to Photo mode
or press and hold 2 seconds to go StandBy.
Change Time. Select button (#2) to adjust the displayed time. When the Change
Time function is selected, the displayed of the clock time will be highlighted in
yellow. After setting the time, press Select button (#2) to return back to normal
clock mode.

Slideshow Transistion & Interval Time:
There are 14 slide transistion modes that will change randomly during a slide show.
The interval time between images is about 4 seconds. Both the interval time and
transistion modes can not be programed or changed. Interval time may vary based
on the size/resolution of file.
Auto and Manual Rotation:
When taking pictures with most digital cameras, the Exchangeable Image File For-
mat (EXIF) includes the rotation (portrait or landscape) of the camera when the im-
age was taken. The picture frame will reconize the EXIF data and automaticlly rotate
the image accordingly. If your camera or image is not EXIF compatible, you have the
option to use button #2 to rotate & pause the image shown on the screen. Pressing
button #4 will resume the slideshow.

Unplug apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
Servicing is required when the unit has been damaged in any way, such as when the
power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled on the unit, the unit
has been dropped, the unit has been exposed to rain or moisture, or when the unit
does not operate normally.
Power cord protection - To avoid any malfunction of the unit and to protect against
electric shock, fire or personal injury, please observe the following:
a) Hold the plug firmly when connecting or disconnecting the AC power cord to this unit.
b) Do not connect or disconnect the AC power cord with wet hands.
c) Keep the AC power cord away from heating appliances.
d) Never put any heavy object on the AC power cord.
e) Do not attempt to repair or reconstruct the AC power cord in any way.
If smoke, odor or noise comes from the unit, turn off power and disconnect AC power cord.
Placement - Avoid placing the unit in areas of direct sunlight, heating radiators,
closed automobiles, high temperatures (over 35° C (95° F), high humidity (over 90%),
excessive dust, vibration, or where the surface is tilted, as the internal parts may be
seriously damaged.
Do not place the unit on amplifiers or other equipment which may become hot.
This unit may interfere with the signal of broadcast televisions. This is not a malfunc-
tion of the unit of the TV. To watch a TV broadcast, turn off this unit.

The product enclosed herein is warranted to be free of manufacturing defects and
workmanship for a period of 180 Days Parts - 90 Days Labor from the date of pur-
chase. In the event of a defect in material or workmanship during the warranty period,
we will refurbish, repair or replace the defective product, at our discretion, once the
defective product is returned by the purchaser. Matsunichi does not offer refunds.
This warranty is limited to servicing or replacement of the product only and shall not
cover any other damages. This warranty does not cover any damage or problem
that results from misuse, abuse, or an act of God (such as flood). In no event shall
Matsunichi be liable for any loss of profit or any other commercial damage, including
but not limited to special, incidental, consequential and other damages. There are no
warranties which extend beyond the description on the face hereof.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights
which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of
incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
In order to obtain warranty service, the original purchase receipt from an authorized
dealer must be retained as proof of purchase and a legible copy must be sent along
with the product to the Return Merchandise Center. You must be issued a Return
Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number by Matsunichi’s Customer Service Center
before obtaining service. To receive an RMA, contact customer service at

Upon receipt of an RMA number, you must send the product back with postage
prepaid to:

RMA # (assigned #)
The product must be returned to Matsunichi with an RMA number clearly visible on
the outside of the package.
The product must be properly packaged and insured against shipping damage. Any
packages received without an RMA number will be refused. Any shipping damage
resulting from improper packaging shall be the responsibility of the purchaser.
The refurbished, repaired or replaced product will be returned to the purchaser,
freight prepaid via UPS Ground only, within 30 days from the date the returned
product is received by the Return Merchandise Center.
