How to Replace SD Card
Important Notes:
Please ensure that the vehicle ignition is turned off before continuing
If you are reusing an SD card from another IT1000 please ensure that the SD card has been
reformatted via your PC.
The SD Card can be replaced while still connected to the vehicle there is no need to unplug the
camera.
Steps:
Step 1) Use a 2.5mm Allen key to release the tab at the rear of the windscreen mount, there is no
need to fully undo the tab just a few turns will allow you to remove the camera.
Step 2) Once the camera has been removed from the
mount you can go ahead and remove the red security
seal, note how the seal was placed.
Step 3) Open the flap on the top of the camera, the SD
card is located on the left-hand side, you will need to
push the SD card down and it will pop up allowing you to
remove the card (be careful not to allow the card to
spring up as it could possibly spring out of the camera)
Step 4) You can now insert the new SD card into the
camera, the gold contacts face towards the front of the
camera (Towards the lens). You will need to push this
down until it clicks into place.
Step 5) You can now close the flap on top of the camera
and reseal the camera with a new security seal. Line the
seal up with the camera as shown on the right, once
aligned you can push the ends of the seal around the
camera. (Ensure that the seal doesn’t cover the cooling
fins located on the back of the camera or the locating
notch located on the front). The images below show how the seal should sit.

How to Replace Camera and Commissioning Process
Important Notes:
Please ensure that the vehicle ignition is turned off before continuing.
Step 1) Use a 2.5mm Allen key to release the tab at the rear of the windscreen mount, there is no
need to fully undo the tab just a few turns will allow you to remove the camera.
Step 2) You can now remove the camera from the mount, if you now follow the cable coming from
the top of the camera you will come to a molex connection.
Step 3) You can now unplug the camera from this Molex connection, this is done by pushing the little
tab on top of the molex and pulling the camera side out.
Step 4) You can now plug the new camera into the molex connection, this can then be placed onto
the original mount using the locating tabs to line the camera up.
Step 5) Now do up the tab that you undone to remove the camera, now turn the ignition of the
vehicle on and check that you have a Solid Orange (GPS Dependant, Not Necessary), Flashing Red
and Solid Green.
Commissioning Process:
Once the Device turns on you can press the button on the left-hand side, now call the office on 0845
548 5447 and speak to the customer services team.
You will need to give them either the registration number or the serial number located on the rear of
the camera just under where it says, ‘Made in Germany’ starting with 22…….
The guys will be able to check that the camera has connected after the changes and check the
footage is okay.

How to Replace Triangle Bracket
Important Notes:
Please ensure that the vehicle ignition is turned off before continuing.
Ensure that you have both the large triangle mount and the tab and screw, these will be
needed.
Step 1) Turn engine on and place the heating on full and onto the windscreen, place the large mount
onto the windscreen vent. This is to warm both the windscreen and tape so that when it is placed
onto the windscreen it bonds correctly.
Step 2) Thoroughly clean the windscreen area where the
mount will be stuck, this is to remove nay contaminants that
may be present on the windscreen.
Step 3) On a clean, dry screen ensure the mount is level and
pressed firmly into place, across the entire sticky-tape
footprint. Run your fingers along the outer edge of the mount
to ensure that the mount has stuck over its whole footprint.
Leave to cure for 5 minutes before fitting camera to the
mount.
Step 4) Offer the camera to the mount using the
mounting holes on the front of the camera and then
place the securing tab on the rear of the
camera making sure the tab is rotated to
lock the camera in place. Once in place
tighten the screw so that the camera is
secure in the mount and doesn’t move.

How to Replace Adjustable Bracket
Important Notes:
Please ensure that the vehicle ignition is turned off before continuing.
Step 1) Turn engine on and place the heating on full and onto the windscreen, place the adjustable
mount tape side down onto the windscreen vent. This is to warm both the windscreen and tape so
that when it is placed onto the windscreen it bonds correctly.
Step 2) Thoroughly clean the windscreen area where the mount will be stuck, this is to remove nay
contaminants that may be present on the windscreen.
Step 3) On a clean, dry screen ensure the mount is level and pressed
firmly into place, across the entire sticky-tape footprint. Open the
camera mount so that it is easier to place the camera into the mount
once it has been stuck to the windscreen. The mount should be stuck
to the windscreen with the stick pad at the top and the back of the
mount swinging down. Make sure that the mount is level when
placing sticking the mount to the windscreen.
Step 4) Offer the camera to the mount and close the cradle (the wire
should be put between the two plastic parts, shown on the right). Now do
up the two screws on the mount (don’t do
these up tight yet just tight enough to hold
the camera) you will need a T10 Torx bit to
do the screw up on the mount.
Step 5) Now adjust the lens position on the camera, start with the lends
pointing straight at a 90-degree angle, then angle the lens down slightly.
Now you can do the two screws up as tight as they will go, don’t
overtighten these, once these are tight they will hold the camera tight into
the mount.
Step 6) With this type of mount I would call the office on 0845 548 5447 to
commission the camera, this is only due to the mount not having a set angle. The office will be able
to check the camera footage and make sure that the camera is angled correctly in the mount.

Basic Fault Diagnostics
The easiest way to diagnose a camera fault is via the VTS server.
The server will list camera faults such as an offline device or SD card issues.
If a camera is showing as offline there could be a few causes to this:
Low voltage (This could possible be a power issue, this will be obvious by turning the ignition
on, if no lights come on the camera there is a power issue). This can be checked by checking
that the fuses are still in place and not blown and checking that the wires are still connected,
and the camera isn’t unplugged for some reason.
GPS Issue the camera will generally need to be replaced if it has a GPS issue, this will show
on VTS as it is not recording any trip data.
Camera Issues, the camera LEDs will give an idea of what the issues are. If the LEDs do not
match a working camera I would suggest that the camera is replaced.
If you think that a camera has developed an issue but are not sure, the best course of action would
be to contact the customer support team on 0845 548 5447 they will be able to look at the camera
and decide on what the best action to take would be.

Explanation of LED Light Status
When the device first boots, the LEDs may do some odd patterns but after a 30seconds to a
minute this will settle down into the correct LED pattern (Pattern Below). If the device
doesn’t then there is something wrong, check LED patterns Above.
