Set up Push to Talk
1. Press the PTT button on the left
panel of the device.

Add new contacts to your PTT

2. Install Microsoft® ActiveSync®
software onto your PC.
3. Verify that Windows Media®
Player 10 or higher is installed on
your PC.
You are now ready to transfer
music to your device.
1. Connect the device to the PC via
the USB sync cable.
2. On the PC, open Windows Media
Player and click on the Sync tab.
3. Drag the MP3 or other music files
you want to load on your device
to the Sync list.
You can move MP3, WMA, QCP,
M4A, AWB, AMR, MID, MIDI, and
RMI music files from your PC.
4. Click on Start Sync and the music
files will be loaded into your
device.

Transfer Music

Listen to your favorite music. The built-in Windows Media® Player

Play Music
Listen to the music you have transferred

To play music on the Home screen
1. On the Home screen, slide to the Music tab.
2. Swipe upward/downward on the screen or press
NAVIGATION Up/Down to flip through albums
and the music or songs in an album.
3. When you have selected the album you want to
play, touch .
Note: Parental controls are available.
CV
CV brings your phone to life. Watch news,
sports, weather, and entertainment clips via
AT&T’s high-speed data network while on the
go.
1. On the Home screen, slide to the AT&T tab,
then tap the CV icon . The phone opens the
browser to the CV web site.
3. Once connected, select the program you wish to
view and tap Play.
You can also select a program from the Video
Categories.
Personalize your CV content
1. Select Customize CV on the CV home screen.
2. Select Edit My Favorites and tap OK.
3. Select the content you would like to appear on
your CV home screen and tap OK.

4. Once AT&T Navigator has installed
successfully, tap OK to restart the

Generate a route with AT&T Navigator
1. On the Home screen, slide to the AT&T
tab, tap the AT&T GPS icon , then
enter all required log in information.
2. Tap Drive To > Address > Type It, enter
your desired destination and tap Done.
3. AT&T Navigator will connect to the GPS
satellites and provide you with directions
to your destination.

To play music using Windows Media
1. Tap Start > Programs > Windows Media.
2. Tap Menu > Library.
3. Tap Menu > Update Library. Tap Done when the
library has been updated.
4. Tap My Music > All Music and scroll to the song
you want to play. Tap Play.
Text Messaging
When you need to communicate privately
and quickly, use text messaging. You can text
message to other mobile phones and email
addresses.
1. Do any of the following while on the Home
screen:
Slide to the Messages tab, then touch the New
Message icon .
Slide open the keyboard, tap Messages, then
tap Menu > New > Text Message.
2. Enter the mobile phone number of one or more
recipients, separating them with a semicolon.
To access mobile phone numbers from Contacts,
tap To.
3. Enter your message.
To quickly add common messages, tap
Menu > My Text and tap a desired message.
To check the spelling, tap Menu > Spell Check.
4. Tap Send.
Take and send a photo
1. Slide to the Photos and Videos
tab, then tap .
2. Touch and hold the ENTER button
to activate auto-focus, then press
it to take the shot.
3. In the Review screen, tap ,
select Send via MMS, then tap
Send.

Yahoo! or Gmail to open your email Inbox.

(IM) is as easy as using it. With Mobile IM, you
will enjoy a familiar desktop-like experience

who use Yahoo!® Messenger, AOL® Instant
Messenger™, and Windows Live™ Messenger.
Open Instant Messaging and sign on
1. On the Home screen, slide to the AT&T tab, then
tap the Messaging icon .
2. Tap Instant Messaging, then tap the IM service
you want to use.
3. Enter your screen name (AOL® Instant
Messenger™), e-mail address (Windows Live™
Messenger), or Yahoo! ID (Yahoo!® Messenger)
and password, then tap Sign In.
You’ll be up and running in an instant.

address book and calendar with you and stay
on top of your day. Use the Tasks, Notes and
Alarm Clock to stay organized while on the

Make a Phone Call
Making a call is just a touch away.
1. From any screen, press the TALK/SEND button
( ) to open the Phone screen.
2. On the Phone screen, tap the desired phone
number using the Phone keypad.
Tip: You can also use your slide out keyboard to
enter the phone number you wish to dial.
3. Press the TALK/SEND button ( ) to make
the call.
4. To end the call, touch End Call on the screen or
press the END button ( ).
Note: Using Microsoft ActiveSync will also keep information between your
phone and your PC up to date at all times.
Calendar and

On the Home screen
tab, tap Calendar or
Contacts.
You now are able to
access the Calendar
and Contacts.

tap the MEdia Net icon .
2. Scroll and tap the content you want to browse.
From your device:
1. From MEdia Net home page, tap
Customize MEdia Net.
2. Tap Edit Categories.
3. Select the categories you would
like to appear on your home
page, then tap Save.
From your PC:
1. Go to att.com/mymedianet.
2. Choose the web sites you want
on your device.
3. Click Update Now to save the
changes to your device.
