DESCRIPTION
Series 225 are 2-way, normally closed direct operated solenoid
valves. The valve body is stainless steel construction. Valves are
sub-miniature in size.
INSTALLATION
ASCO Numatics components are intended to be used only within the
technical characteristics as specified on the nameplate. Changes to
the equipment are only allowed after consulting the manufacturer or
its representative. Before installation depressurise the piping system
and clean internally.
The equipment may be mounted in any position.
The flow direction and pipe connection of valves are indicated
on the body.
The pipe connections have to be in accordance with the size
indicated on the nameplate and fitted accordingly.
CAUTION:
• Reducingthe connectionsmay causeimproper operationor
malfunctioning.
• Fortheprotectionofthe equipmentinstalla strainerorlter
suitable for the service involved in the inlet side as close to the
product as possible.
• Iftape,paste,sprayorasimilarlubricantisusedwhentightening,
avoid particles entering the system.
• Usepropertoolsandlocatewrenchesascloseaspossibleto
the connection point.
• Toavoiddamagetotheequipment,DONOTOVER-TIGHTEN
pipe connections.
• Donotusevalveorsolenoidasalever.
• Thepipeconnectionsshouldnotapplyanyforce,torqueorstrain
to the product.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
In case of electrical connections, they are only to be made by
trained personnel and have to be in accordance with the local
regulations and standards.
CAUTION:
• Turnoffelectricalpowersupplyandde-energisetheelectrical
circuit and voltage carrying parts before starting work.
• Allelectricalscrewterminalsmust beproperlytightened
according to the standards before putting into service.
• Dependentuponthe voltage electricalcomponentsmustbe
provided with an earth connection and satisfy local regulations
and standards.
The equipment can have one of the following electrical terminals:
• Spadeplugconnections accordingto 3x DIN-46244(when
correctlyinstalledthisconnectionprovideslP-65protection).
• Flyingleadsorcables.
PUTTING INTO SERVICE
Before pressurising the system, first carry-out an electrical test.
In case of solenoid valves, energise the coil a few times and notice
a metal click signifying the solenoid operation.
SERVICE
Most of the solenoid valves are equipped with coils for continuous
duty service. To prevent the possibility of personal or property
damage do not touch the solenoid which can become hot under
normal operation conditions. If the solenoid valve is easily accessible,
the installer must provide protection preventing accidental contact.
SOUND EMISSION
The emission of sound depends on the application, medium and
natureofthe equipmentused.Theexact determinationofthe
sound level can only be carried out by the user having the valve
installed in his system.
MAINTENANCE
Maintenance of ASCO Numatics products is dependent on service
conditions. Periodic cleaning is recommended, the timing of which
willdependonthemediaandserviceconditions.Duringservicing,
componentsshouldbeexaminedforexcessivewear.Acompleteset
of internal parts is available as a spare parts kit. If a problem occurs
during installation/maintenance or in case of doubt please contact
ASCO Numatics or authorised representatives.
COIL REPLACEMENT
1. Disconnectcoilleadwires.
2. Removeretainingclip.
3. Slipcoiloffplugnut/coretubeassembly.
4. Installnewcoilandreplaceclip.
5. Make electrical hook-up and restore electrical power.
VALVE DISASSEMBLY
Disassembleinanorderlyfashion.Paycarefulattentiontoexploded
views provided for identification of parts.
1. Disconnectcoilleadwires,removeretainingclipandslipthe
coil off the plugnut/core tube assembly. CAUTION: when metal
retaining clip disengages, it can spring upwards.
2. Unscrewmountingscrews.Removecover,plugnut/core tube
assembly, O-ring and core assembly with core spring.
3. Allpartsarenowaccessibleforcleaningorreplacement.
VALVE REASSEMBLY
Reassembleinreverseorderofdisassemblypayingcarefulattention
toexplodedviewsprovidedforidenticationandplacementofparts.
1. NOTE:Lubricateallgaskets/O-ringswithhighqualitysilicone
grease. NOTE:If corespringhas beenremoved fromcore
assembly, be sure tot install small diameter end of core spring
on core assembly first. The core spring should snap in place
and remain engaged.
2. Replacecoreassembly,corespring,O-ring,plugnut/coretube
assembly, cover and mounting screws. Torque mounting screws
according to torque chart.
3. Replacecoilandretainingclip.
4. Aftermaintenance,operatethevalveafewtimestobesureof
proper operation.
A separate Declaration of Incorporation relating to EEC-Di-
rective 89/392/EEC Annex II B is available on request. Please
provide acknowledgement number and serial numbers of
products concerned. This product complies with the essential
requirements of the EMC-Directive 89/336/EEC and amendments
as well as the 73/23/EEC + 93/68/EEC Low Voltage Directives.

MISE EN SERVICE

REMPLACEMENT DE LA BOBINE
1. Déconnecterleslsdeplombdelabobine.
2. Ôter le clip de maintien.
3. Faireglisserlabobinehorsdumontagetubeécrouduconnec-
teur/noyau.
4. Installerlanouvellebobineetremettreleclipdemaintien.
5. Procéderaux interconnexionsélectriqueset réenclencherle
courant.
DEMONTAGE DE LA VANNE
Démonterensuivantl’ordreindiqésurlesvuesenéclatéfournies
danslapochetteetdestinéesàl’identicationdespièces.
1. Déconnecterles lsdeplomb dela bobine,ôter leclip de
maintienetfaireglisserlabobinehorsdumontagetubeécrou
duconnecteur/noyau.ATTENTION:lorsqueleclipdemaintien
métalliqueestôté,ilpeutbondirverslehaut.
2. Dévisserlesvisdemontage.Ôterlecouvercle,lemontagetube
écrouduconnecteur/noyau,lemontagejointtoriqueetnoyau
avec le ressort de noyau.
3. Vouspouvezdèsàprésentnettoyerouremplacertoutesles
pièces.
REMONTAGE DE LA VANNE
Remonterensensinverse.
1. NOTE:Lubriertouslesjointsd’étanchéité/jointstoriquesavec
delagraissesiliconedehautequalité.NOTE:Sileressortde
noyauaétéôté,veilleràinstallerenpremierlieul’extrémitédu
ressortdenoyaulaplusnesurlemontagedunoyau.Leressort
denoyaudevraits’encliqueteretresterengagé.
2. Remettrelemontagedunoyau,leressortdenoyau,lejointto-
rique,lemontagetubeécrouduconnecteur/noyau,lecouvercle
etlesvisdemontage.Raccorderlesvisdemontageensuivant
leschémadecouple.
3. Remettrelabobineetleclipdemaintien.
4. Aprèsl’entretien,fairefonctionnerlavannequelquesfoisan
de s’assurer qu’elle s’ouvre et se ferme correctement.

den Ventileingang integriert werden.
• BeiAbdichtungam Gewindeist daraufzu achten,daß kein

BETRIEB
DiemeistenMagnetventilesindmitSpulenfürDauerbetriebaus-
gerüstet.ZurVermeidungvonPersonen-undSachschädensollte
jedeBerührungderMagnetspulevermiedenwerden,dadieseunter
normalenBetriebsbedingungensehrheißwerdenkann.Beileicht
zugänglichem Magnetventil sollte vom Installateur ein Schutz vorge-
sehenwerden,umjeglichesversehentlichesBerührenzuvermeiden.
GERÄUSCHEMISSION
DieGeräuschemissionhängtsehrstarkvomAnwendungsfall,dem
Medium, mit denen das Produkt beaufschlagt wird, und der Art des
verwendetenProduktesab.DieexakteBestimmungdesGeräusch-

WARTUNG
DieWartung hängtvondenBetriebsbedingungen ab.Es wird
empfohlen,das Produktregelmäßig zu reinigen,wobei sichdie
Zeitabständenachdem Mediumund denBetriebsbedingungen
richten.Während derWartung solltendie Komponentenauf
übermäßigenVerschleißüberprüft werden. Fürdie Überholung

SPULENAUSTAUSCH
1. Sämtliche Spulendrähte trennen.
2. Klammerhalterungentfernen.
3. SpulevonGegenanker-/Führungsrohrbaugruppeabziehen.
4. NeueSpuleinstallierenundKlammerhalterungwiedermontieren.
5. ElektrischeVerdrahtungvornehmen undStromversorgung
wiederherstellen.
VENTILDEMONTAGE
DasVentilmußinderangegebenen Reihenfolgezerlegt werden.
Dabeisind dieTeile exakt anhanddermitgeliefertenExplosions-
zeichnungen zu identifizieren.
1. Spulendrähte trennen,Klammerhalterungentfernen und
Spulevon Gegenanker-/Führungsrohrbaugruppeabziehen.
ACHTUNG:DieKlammerhalterungkannbeimLösennachoben
wegfedern.
2. Befestigungsschraubenlösen.Deckel,Gegenanker-/Führungs-
rohrbaugruppe,DichtungsringundMagnetankerbaugruppemit
Ankerfeder entfernen.
3. Nunsind alleTeile,die gereinigt oderausgetauscht werden
müssen,leichtzugänglich.
VENTILZUSAMMENBAU
Ventil inder umgekehrten Reihenfolge wiebei derDemontage
zusammenbauen.DabeisinddieTeileanhandderExplosionszeich-
nungen zu identifizieren und anzuordnen.
1. HINWEIS:AlleDichtungen/Dichtungsringesindmithochwerti-
gemSilikonfettzuschmieren.HINWEIS:FallsdieAnkerfederaus
der Magnetankerbaugruppe herausgezogen wurde, ist darauf zu
achten,daßdieAnkerfedermitdemschmälerenEndezuerstin
dieMagnetankerbaugruppeeingeschobenwird.DieAnkerfeder
sollte einrasten und in dieser Position arretiert bleiben.
2. Magnetankerbaugruppe,Ankerfeder,Dichtungsring,Gegenan-
ker-/Führungsrohrbaugruppe,DeckelundBefestigungsschrau-
ben wieder montieren. Befestigungsschrauben entsprechend
denAngabenimDrehmomentdiagrammanziehen.
3. SpuleundKlammerhalterungwiedermontieren.
4. NachderWartungVentilmehrmalsbetätigen,umsicherzustel-
len,daßesordnungsgemäßfunktioniert.

89/392/EWG Anhang II B ist auf Anfrage erhältlich. Geben Sie
bitte für die betreffenden Produkte die Nummer der Auftrags-
bestätigung und die Seriennummer an. Das Produkt erfüllt die
wesentlichen Anforderungen der EMV-Richtlinie 89/336/EWG
und Ergänzung-en sowie der Niederspannungsrichtlinien

Lasconexionesalatuberíadebencorresponderaltamañoindicado

PRECAUCION:
• La reducciónde las conexiones puedecausar operaciones
incorrectas o defectos de funcionamiento.
• Paralaproteccióndelequiposedebeinstalarenlapartedela
entrada y tan cerca como sea posible del producto un filtro o
tamizador adecuado para el servicio.
• Siseutilizaracinta,pasta,sprayuotroslubricantesenelajuste,
sedebeevitarqueentrenpartículasenelproducto.
• Sedebeutilizarlasherramientasadecuadasycolocarllaveslo
máscercaposibledelpuntodeconexión.
• Paraevitardañosalequipo,NOFORZARlasconexionesala
tubería.
• Noutilizarlaválvulaoelsolenoidecomopalanca.
• Las conexionesa latubería noproducirán ningunafuerza,
aprieteotensiónsobreelproducto.
CONEXION ELECTRICA
Encasoderequerirseconexioneseléctricas,estasseránrealiza-
dasporpersonalcualicadoydeberánadaptarsealasnormasy
regulaciones locales.
PRECAUCION:
• Antes decomenzarel trabajo, desconecteel suministrode
energíaeléctricay desenergiceel circuitoelectrónico ylos
elementosportadoresdetensión.
• Todoslosterminaleseléctricosdebenestarapretadosadecua-
damente según normas antes de su puesta en servicio.
• Segúnelvoltaje,loscomponenteselectrónicosdebendisponer
deunaconexiónatierraysatisfacerlasnormasyregulaciones
locales.
Elequipopuedetenerunodelossiguientesterminaleseléctricos:
• Conexionesdesenchufablessegún3 xDIN-46244 (cuando
seinstalacorrectamenteestaconexiónproporcionan una
protecciónIP-65).
• Salidadecables.
PUESTA EN MARCHA
Sedebeefectuarunapruebaeléctricaantesdesometerapresión
elsistema.Enelcasodelasválvulassolenoides,sedebeenergizar
varias veces la bobina y comprobar que se produce un sonido
metálicoqueindicaelfuncionamientodelsolenoide.
SERVICIO
Lamayorpartedelas válvulassolenoides sesuministran con
bobinas para un servicio continuo. Con el fin de evitar la posibilidad
dedañospersonalesomaterialesnosedebetocarelsolenoide,ya
quepuedehabersecalentadoencondicionesnormalesdetrabajo.
Silaelectroválvulaesdefácilacceso,elinstaladordebepreveruna
protecciónqueimpidacualquiercontactoaccidental.
EMISION DE RUIDOS
Laemisiónderuidosdependedelaaplicación,medioynaturaleza
delequipoutilizado.Unadeterminaciónexactadelnivelderuido
solamente se puede llevar a cabo por el usuario que disponga la
válvulainstaladaensusistema.
MANTENIMIENTO
ElmantenimientodelosproductosASCONumaticsdependede
lascondicionesdeservicio.Serecomiendaunalimpiezaperiódica,
dependiendodelascondicionesdelmedioydelservicio.Durante
elservicio,loscomponentesdebenserexaminadosporsihubiera
desgastesexcesivos.Sedisponedeunjuegocompletodepartes
internas como recambio. Si ocurriera un problema durante la
instalación/mantenimientooen casode dudacontactar con
ASCO Numatics o representantes autorizados.
SUSTITUCION DE LA BOBINA
1. Desconecteloshilosdelabobina.
2. Retireelclipdesujeción.
3. Deslicela bobinahaciaafuera,retirándoladelconjuntodel
enchufe roscado/tubo del núcleo.
4. Instaleunanuevabobinayvuelvaacolocarelclip.
5. Hagalaconexióneléctricayrestaurelacorrienteeléctrica.
DESMONTAJE DE LA VALVULA
Desmontelaválvulaordenadamente.Presteespecialatencióna
las vistas ampliadas que se suministran para identificar las partes.
1. Desconecteloshilosdelabobina,retireelclipdesujeciónydes-
licelabobinahaciaafuera,retirándoladelconjuntodelenchufe
roscado/tubodelnúcleo.PRECAUCION:aldesengancharseel
clipdesujeciónmetálico,éstepuedesaltarhaciaarriba.
2. Desenrosquelostornillosdemontaje.Retirelatapa,elconjunto
delenchuferoscado/tubo delnúcleo,juntayelconjunto del
núcleo con el resorte del núcleo.
3. Ahoratendrá acceso atodas laspiezas parasu limpiezao
sustitución.
REMONTAJE DE LA VALVULA
Vuelvaamontar laválvula enel ordeninversodedesmontaje
prestandoespecialatenciónalasvistasampliadassuministradas
para identificar e instalar las partes.
1. NOTA:Lubrique todaslas guarniciones/juntas congrasa de
silicona de buena calidad. NOTA: Si se ha retirado el resorte del
núcleodelconjuntodelnúcleo,asegúresedeinstalarprimero
elextremoconeldiámetropequeñodelresortedelnúcleoen
elconjuntodelnúcleo.Elresortedelnúcleodebeencajaren
su sitio y quedar enganchado.

cuantas veces para asegurarse de su correcto funcionamiento.

de aceptación de pedido de los productos correspondientes.
