The xture you have purchased should give you years of trouble free
service. We take pride in the design and construction of each of our
products and work to maintain the quality of our materials and
craftsmanship to assure your satisfaction.
This product is warranted to be free of defects in workmanship and
materials for a period of 2 years from the original date of purchase.
If any problems appear (other than burnt out bulbs, which carry no
warranty) within 2 years, the purchaser may return the item, freight
prepaid, together with a copy of your original purchase receipt to:

Upon receipt of the item prepaid with a letter describing the problem,
and a check for $7.50 to cover return postage and handling, the
company will, at its option, either repair or replace the defective part or
xture at no charge to the purchaser. This warranty does not apply to
xtures that have been used for rental or commercial purposes. It does
not cover xtures that have been altered in any way or xtures that have
been subject to misuse, accidents or damage in transit.
IN NO CASE SHALL THE COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. NO CHARGES WILL BE ACCEPTABLE FOR
UNAUTHORIZED REPAIRS, PARTS OR SERVICE.

lasts and do not allow exclusions or limitations of incidental damages,
so parts or all of this warranty limitations or exclusions may not apply to
you. Legal warranty rights will vary from state to state and you may have

Safety Instructions
Please read all instructions carefully prior to using The Designers Edge
patio heater.

Check that your main supply voltage is the same as voltage indicated
on unit.
Disconnect power during installation and during lamp replacement.
Check mounting plate to make sure heater is securely fastened in
place.
CAUTION - The lamp is HOT. Make sure it is cool before replacing.
Keep out of reach of children. Lamp gets extremely hot during
operation.
Do not use an extension cord with heater. Do not let cord come in
contact with heater during operation.
For use on 15 amp circuit breaker only.

Installation Notes
1. Disconnect power before installation and when re-lamping.
2. If you are unfamiliar with installing electrical xtures contact a qualied
electrician to install
3. Securely fasten mounting bracket to the xture.
4. Do not attempt to relocate xture when hot.

Lamp Replacement
1. Disconnect power supply and make sure lamp and xture are not hot.
2. Unscrew the screws at the top of the housing.
3. Open hinged cover, remove the lamp by pushing one end into it’s
holder and pulling the other end towards you.
WARNING: Do not handle lamp with your bare hands as the oil from
your hands will cause premature failure of the lamp.
CAUTION, before using this appliance:
Check that the voltage indicated on the type plate
corresponds to the mains supply voltage.
• Ensure that the heater has been securely fastened
in its nal mounting position.
• Unplug and turn o power switch during
installation, cleaning and/or replacing the
emitter. Always ensure that the emitter is cool.
• Do not handle the halogen heat emitter with
bare hands.
Do not use an extension cable with this product.
Keep the power cable away from the body of the heater as it will get hot
during use.
Ensure that children do not tamper with the heater.
Do not insert any object through any slot or opening in the heater.

Do not place objects such as furniture, papers, clothes and curtains closer
than 5 to the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides

MAINTENANCE
In the event of heater failure please contact the retailer rst. For
spare parts and advice, please contact the manufacturer.
Disconnect the power before commencing any maintenance procedure including
cleaning.
To ensure optimal heat eectiveness, it is
recommended that after the heater has been
used approximately 80-100 hours, the front glass and the reector are wiped with
a lint-free cloth.
The heater is supplied with safety glass. In the
unlikely event that it should become cracked,
please contact the manufacturer for an immediate replacement.
REPLACING THE EMITTER
Turn xture o and unplug to ensure that the heat emitter is not illuminated
and that the heater body and emitter are cool.
• Unscrew the back two screws at the top of the casing.
• Open the hinged front cover.
• Remove the heat emitter from the spring loaded holders by pushing one end
further into its holder and pulling the end that is free towards you.
• Ret in reverse order.
CAUTION: Do not handle the heat emitter
with bare hands. Finger marks will burn into
the quartz emitter causing premature emitter failure.
