GENERAL INFORMATION
DECORATIVE VOLCANIC STONE KIT
The decorative volcanic stone contained in this kit may be used with
FireCraft Technologies gas fireplaces. It is used to enhance the
appearance of the firebox floor. This kit contains one bag of decorative
volcanic stone and these instructions.

Step 1. Turn off the fireplace and allow it to cool before proceeding.
Step 2. Slightly lift and pull the existing top radiant panel or louver
assembly away from the fireplace.
Step 3. Open the bottom radiant panel or louver assembly by pushing
in simultaneously the left and right sides of the louver assembly. (The
assembly is hinged at the bottom.)
Step 4. Open the two glass door latches located underneath the
firebox.
Step 5. Remove the door from the fireplace by swinging the bottom of
the door outward and lifting it up and away.
Step 6. Spread the decorative volcanic stone over the firebox floor in
a nonuniform manner while ensuring coverage of the firebox floor.
Note- Do not place any decorative volcanic stone on top of the
gas burner where it may block the burner ports.
This bag contains enough decorative volcanic stone for a large
45 inch wide fireplace. Use proportionally less stone for smaller
fireplaces.

Step 7. Position the glass door in front of the firebox opening with the
bottom of the door held away from the fireplace. Hook the top flange
of the door frame over the top of the firebox frame. Let the bottom of
the door frame swing gently in towards the fireplace ensuring that the
gasket seats evenly as the door frame draws shut. Fasten the two
latches located underneath the firebox floor to the door's vee-flange.
Close both the latches securely.
Step 8. Reinstall the top radiant panel/hood assembly or hood and
louver assembly. Make certain that the hood is installed as shown in
figure 1
(clean face models) or
figure 2
(louvered models). The
fireplace must not be operated without the hood installed as shown
in these figures.
Step 9. Close the bottom radiant panel or louver assembly.

Step 9. If applicable, close the bottom radiant panel or louver assembly.
