INSTRUCTION BULLETIN

NOTE: Numbers in parenthesis ( ) are reference numbers for parts listed in Bill of Materials.
Installation instructions for kit number 383224
SYNOPSIS / PROBLEM:
This kit contains the parts needed to install a taillight kit on the 6500 model sweeper.
Please follow step-by-step instructions.
SPECIAL TOOLS / CONSIDERATIONS: NONE
(Estimated time to complete: 1 hour)
PREPARATION:
(Refer to FIG. 1 thru 4)
FOR SAFETY: Before leaving or servicing machine, stop on level surface and set parking
brake. Then turn off machine and remove key.
1. Disconnect battery cables from machine.
WARNING: Always disconnect battery cables from machine before working
on electrical components.
INSTALLATION:
(Refer to FIG. 1 thru 4)
1. Remove 1/4 inch of insulation from the end of each wire from each new taillight (1).
2. Clamp a ring terminal (3) to the end of each black ground wire from each new taillight (1).
3. Mount the new taillights (1) to the machine with screws (4) and lock nuts (5). (Refer to FIG. 1)
4. Connect the ground wire ring terminals (3) from each light to the machine frame.
(Refer to FIG. 2 thru 4)
5. Connect 62C/YEL and 90/GRY from the left taillight to the main harness with two bullet
terminals (2). (Refer to FIG. 2 thru 4)
6. Connect 62B/YEL and 89/BRN from the right taillight to the main harness with two bullet
terminals (2). (Refer to FIG. 2 thru 4)
7. Secure loose taillight wires to the main harness and machine frame with plastic wire ties.
8. Turn the machine accessory power on and check the taillights for proper operation.
