â—† Ensure that all passengers know
how to reboard the craft from the
water.
â—† Always have an observer while
towing a skier.
â—† Know the waters in which the craft
is to be operated. Current, tides,
rapids, shallow water, hidden ob-
stacles etc., can affect safe opera-
tion.
â—† When boating, apply the principle
of 1/3 fuel to destination, 1/3 back
and 1/3 reserve fuel supply.
â—† Maintain the craft and equipment in
top condition at all times. Adhere to
the prescribed maintenance sched-
ules. Use a protective cover when
not in use. After salt or foul water
use, the craft should be thoroughly
rinsed and protected from corro-
sion. If you suspect water ingestion
into the engine, contact your dealer
for proper servicing.
â—† The bilge must be kept clean of oil,
water or other foreign materials. Do
not carry spare fuel and inflamma-
ble liquids in any of the storage or
engine compartments.
â—† Avoid adding on accessories, carry-
ing equipment or passengers
which may alter the craft's configu-
ration or balance.
â—† Only perform servicing procedures
which are detailed in this Guide.
Further assistance or information
can be obtained from your dealer. In
many instances proper tools and
training is required for certain ser-
vicing or repair procedures.
â—† Gasoline fumes are inflammable
and explosive. Always adhere to
the fueling procedure contained in
this Guide and those given to you
by the marina.
â—† Always keep in mind that as the
throttle lever is released to idle po-
sition, less directional control is
available. To turn the craft, both
steering and throttle are necessary.
This craft has the capability of turn-
ing more sharply than other boats,
however, unless in an emergency,
do not negotiate sharp, high speed
turns.
â—† Like any other boat, this craft has
no brake. Stopping distance will
vary depending on initial speed,
load, wind, and water conditions.
Practice stopping and docking in a
safe area to have an idea of how
long it will take to stop the craft un-
der varying conditions.
â—† Prolonged exposure to the sun,
wind, etc., causes fatigue and may
affect your reaction time.
â—† Do not overload the craft or take on
more passengers than designated
for the intended type of boating.
Load and altitude will also affect
craft performance.
â—† Riding with a passenger(s) makes
the craft handle differently and re-
quires greater skill.
â—† Proceed with caution and at very
low speeds in shallow water.
Grounding or abrupt stops may re-
sult, or debris may be picked up and
be jettisoned rearward to people or
property.
â—† As the "skipper" of a boat you are
responsible for damage to other
boats caused by the wake of your
craft. Respect no wake zones.
â—† Respect the rights of other water
users and the environment. Allow
no one to throw refuse overboard.
â—† Do not operate the craft in inclem-
ent weather.
â—† This watercraft is not designed for
night-time operation.
