Description
The SP99-321 is an adjustable pole mount for pendant domes or monitor mounts
that use 3.8 cm (1.5 inch) NPT pipe, including Spectra
®
, DF5, and DF8 Series domes
and MR Series monitor mounts. The pole mount is designed for high-ceiling
installations and can be adjusted to lengths between 1.2 to 2.4 m (4 to 8 feet). It
includes built-in safety features that prevent separation of the sleeves.
Installation
The following parts are supplied:
1 Telescoping pole mount with MRCA ceiling mount
1 Installation manual for the MRCA ceiling mount
1 Locking pin
Refer to Figure 1 while installing the pole mount.
1. Install an MRCA ceiling mount to the ceiling. Refer to the MRCA ceiling mount
installation manual for instructions. Make sure that the pole mount and ceiling
mount will support the weight of the equipment with which they are being
used.
2. Screw the threaded portion of the pole’s outer sleeve into the MRCA ceiling
mount, and tighten the set screw.
3. Loosen the locking collar on the pole, extend the pole’s inner sleeve to the
desired height, and tighten the locking collar.
4. Drill a 6.35 mm (0.25 inch) diameter hole at the locator hole just above the
locking collar. Drill all the way through both sides of the outer and inner
sleeves.
5. Insert the locking pin through the hole, and thread the locking pin screw into
the end of the pin. Tighten the locking pin screw.
6. If required, thread the mounting adapter onto the bottom of the pole’s inner
sleeve, and tighten the upper set screw. (The adapter is not required for some
monitor mounts.)
7. Pull power and video wires through the MRCA ceiling mount and pole mount.
8. Install the pendant dome or monitor mount on the pole. Follow the instructions
that are supplied with the dome or monitor mount.
9. If the mounting adapter was used, tighten the bottom set screw.
