ENGINEERING NOTE
SUBJECT: ANALOG VOLTAGE INPUT CALIBRATION ERROR
AFFECTED
MODELS:
L200 and SJ200 – MFG DATE 0501 & BEFORE
Certain models of L200 and SJ200 were inadvertently shipped with the 0 – 10
Volt Analog Input (terminal O – L) span parameter improperly calibrated.
The symptom is easily determined. The inverter will operate properly with a
frequency reference from keypad potentiometer, analog 4 – 20 mA input or F001
setting. However when the frequency reference is set to the O voltage input, the
inverter will act erratically at 0 V input, and may trip on overcurrent. The output
frequency will ramp up linearly from 0 V to approximately 0.2 V input with a
corresponding output frequency of 0 to the maximum (factory default is 60 Hz)
frequency. From input voltages from 0.2 V to 10.0 V, the inverter output will
remain pegged at the maximum frequency.
To correct this problem, first stop the inverter. Then follow these steps:
1. Press FUNC to enter the PROGRAM mode.
2. Using the UP / DN arrow keys, navigate to parameter
C091.
3. Press FUNC to view the contents, and press UP arrow key to change the
value to
01
4. Press STR to save the change. This will make the so-called “debug”
parameters accessible.
5. Using UP arrow key, navigate to parameter
C121
6. Press FUNC to view contents. It most likely is
6553
