Secura ZYS-09LG-48LM is an automatic trash can with a 2.4-gallon capacity. It features a hands-free, motion-activated lid that opens and closes automatically when you wave your hand or an object within the sensor range of ≤3.9 -5.9 inches. The lid can also be opened and closed manually using the "OPEN" and "CLOSE" buttons on the control panel. The trash can has a 90° rotating sensor ball that allows you to adjust the sensor zone to your preference. It also has a low battery indicator that alerts you when it's time to replace the batteries.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using this trash can, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the

following:

Read this manual before using this trash can.1.

Never immerse the trash can lid into water or any other liquid.2.

Do not force the lid to close.3.

Do not expose the sensor to direct sunlight as it will destroy the sensor.4.

Do not use AC adapter (included) and battery (not included) at the same time to operate 5.

the trash can. It can only be powered by one source at a time. Use the AC adapter

provided.

Never insert the new and old batteries into the battery compartment at the same time. 6.

Only use the same brand of 4 "AA" Alkaline batteries.

Always keep the sensor clean and dry. The trash can may not open properly if moisture 7.

Make sure there is enough room to operate the automatic trash can without blocking the 8.

opening or closing of the lid.

Be careful not to overﬁ ll a garbage bag. It can easily tear when you pull it out. You may 9.

also have trouble removing an overﬁ lled bag.

1. Install batteries

Remove the trash can lid and locate the battery compartment underneath the lid.•

Remove the battery cap and insert 4 new "AA" Alkaline batteries in the correct +/- positions.•

Secure the battery cap into place. •

2. Insert trash bag

Insert one 2.6-4 gallon trash bag into the inner bucket ﬁ rst and tuck bag edges over the •

can body.

Tuck the edge tail into the hole in the inner bucket and put down the retainer ring to keep •

the trash bag in place.

Alternatively, it can be used without a trash bag. Remove the inner bucket and wash •

regularly. Refer to "CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE" for more information.

The trash can may also be used without the inner bucket. Remove the inner bucket, •

insert a trash bag and place back the trash can lid.

3. Place the trash can lid

Place the trash can lid onto the can body and make sure it is securely attached.•

4. How to use your trash can

Turn on your trash can

Turn on the switch on the back of the lid, one of the indicator light will ﬂ ash every 3 •

seconds to indicate the trash can is ready to use. You can turn it off to lock the lid from

pets and kids. The symbol "O" on switch means "OFF", the symbol "I" on switch means

"ON".

AUTOMATIC TRASH CAN

Automatically

Place your hand or garbage within the sensor range (≤3.9-5.9 inches), the lid will open •

automatically and the six indicators will illuminate red. The lid will remain open if it

detects objects within the sensor range. After you remove your hand or garbage from the

sensor range, the six indicators will become off counterclockwise and the lid will close

automatically. You can press the "CLOSE" button to close the lid.

Manually

Press "OPEN" or "CLOSE" buttons to open or close the lid manually. The lid will remain •

open for ﬁ ve minutes before closing automatically if you do not press "CLOSE" button. It is

ideal for disposing of multiple items. If you force the lid to close before it close automatically,

the lid will not open if you press "OPEN" button or place objects within sensor range. The

trash can will reset automatically after the six indicators become off (after ﬁ ve minutes) or

you can press "CLOSE" button to reset.

Note

There is a 90° rotating sensor ball on the lid. Turn the ball to change the position of " •

When " " is upward-facing, the sensor zone is above the lid. When " " is front-facing,

the sensor zone is in front of the lid. Adjust the sensor zone according to your habit. Your

hand can activate the sensor only when it is placed within the sensor range.

Low battery: Six indicators will ﬂ ash together to indicate that the batteries need to be •

replaced.

Caution

Never immerse the trash can lid into water or any other liquid.

Turn off the switch on the back of the lid to lock the lid before cleaning.

Clean

Wipe clean the lid and sensor area with a soft damp cloth and dry it immediately with a soft •

dry cloth.

Wipe the outside and inside of the trash can body with a damp cloth.•

Lift out the inner bucket and clean with soapy water when needed and dry with a soft colth.•

If you will not use the trash can for an extended period of time, please clean the trash can •

and remove the batteries. Store it in a dry place.

that this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship under

normal use and service for 2 years from date of purchase. Manufacturer will, at its

option, repair or replace with a new or refurbished product. Providing a replacement

product does not renew or extend the warranty period from the original date of

purchase. The Manufacturer reserves the right, before having any obligation under

this limited warranty, to inspect the product, and all costs of shipping the product for

inspection and warranty service shall be borne solely by the purchaser.

The manufacturer’s limited warranty is valid only in accordance with the following
