• Prior to connecting or disconnecting the plug from the electrical outlet, turn the temperature control(s)

to 'OFF'.

• Always remove the plug from the power supply whenever the appliance is not in use, including

before cleaning the appliance. Always pull on the plug, not on the cord.

• In order to protect children from the dangers of electrical shock, never leave them

unsupervised with the appliance. When selecting the location for your appliance, do so in such

a way that children do not have access to the appliance. Take care to ensure the cord does not

hang down.

• Never leave the appliance unsupervised. Switch off the appliance whenever you are not using it.

• Keep the appliance and the cord away from heat and moisture.

• Should the appliance become moist or wet, unplug the unit from the power supply immediately.

• Do not use any third-party accessories or attachments as they may cause ﬁ re, electric shock or

GROUNDED PLUG

To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a grounded plug. If the plug does not ﬁ t fully

into the electrical outlet, contact a qualiﬁ ed electrician. Do not try to modify the plug in any way.

SHORT CORD INSTRUCTION

A short power cord is provided to reduce the hazards of becoming entangled in or tripping over

a long cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is

used, the electrical rating on the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating

of the appliance. If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounded

3-wire cord. The extension cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or

table top, where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

HOW TO USE

Before plugging in your Duxtop

electric cooktop, be sure the electric circuit is rated at 120V 60 Hz

AC. Do not share a 120V electrical outlet with another electrical appliance.

There is one burner on the ES-3102 rated at 1500W. There are two burners on ES-3203/ES-3202.

The larger burner is rated at 1300W. The smaller burner is rated at 500W. Use the larger burner for

cooking tasks that require high heat, such as boiling water. Use the smaller burner for simmering or

warming.

1. Place the cooktop on a ﬂ at, dry and heat-resistant surface close to an electrical outlet. Leave

at least 4" of space on all sides of the unit.

2. Make sure the temperature knob is in the OFF position.

3. Make sure there are no foreign objects such as water or food on the heating element before

turning it on.

4. Plug the cooktop into an electrical outlet. Do not heat the cooktop without a ﬁ lled pot on a burner.

5. Turn the temperature knob from the OFF position to the desired setting. The cooktop cycles on

and off to maintain the setting temperature. The heating indicator light illuminates when the heat

is on.

6. The cooktop will be very hot. DO NOT touch the surface while in use if it has not cooled

down completely.

7. When cooking is complete, turn the temperature control knob to the OFF position.

8. Unplug the cooktop when it is not in use and let it cool down.

The cooktop may emit a small amount of smoke which will

dissipate quickly during the ﬁ rst use. It is a normal reaction due

to the invisible protective coating.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Always unplug the cooktop from the electrical outlet before cleaning.

• Never immerse the cooktop, cord or plug in water or other liquids.

• Clean the housing of the cooktop with a damp cloth. Never use harsh abrasive or steel wool pads

on any part of the cooktop. Use dishwashing liquid in case of hard stains.

• Do not use an scratching cleaning agent.

IMPORTANT NOTICES

• DO NOT use an unstable pan. Use a pan with a ﬂ at bottom to insure full contact with the hot plate

for maximum heat efﬁ ciency. Do not use pans that are unstable and easily tipped.

• Do not touch the stainless steel housing when the burner is in use. The surface can become

very hot.

• The cooktop may smoke the ﬁ rst time it is used. It is not defective and the smoke will burn off

within a few minutes.

• Do not leave the cooktop ON without any pots/pans on the plate.

• Avoid dropping any liquid on the plate for long-life performance.

• To quickly boil a large pot of water, close the lid on the pot to retain heat.

• It can take a long time for the cooktop to cool down after it is turned off. Do not touch the cooktop

until it is completely cooled down.

• Use the cool touch handles to move the cooktop when the unit is cool.

The Manufacturer of this product warrants to the original purchaser of this product that

this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and

service for 2 years from date of purchase. Manufacturer will, at its option, repair or replace

with a new or refurbished product. Providing a replacement product does not renew or

extend the warranty period from the original date of purchase. The Manufacturer reserves

the right, before having any obligation under this limited warranty, to inspect the product,

and all costs of shipping the product for inspection and warranty service shall be borne

solely by the purchaser.

The manufacturer’s limited warranty is valid only in accordance with the following

conditions:

2. Only the original purchaser is covered by this warranty. This warranty is not

transferable.

3. Product is for personal use only. This warranty is void if the product is used in a

commercial or institutional establishment.

4. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by misuse,

abuse, negligence, accident, acts of nature, or unauthorized modiﬁcation or repair.

5. Purchaser must present acceptable proof of purchase for the product.

6. This warranty gives you speciﬁc legal rights, and you may also have other rights which

vary from state to state.
