Problem
Boiler heating element breaking.
Reason Breaking is due to:
quick production of scale inside the boiler,
water flow stopping,
heating elements working even without water,
breaking of thermofuse protection.

Modified the boiler with the addition of a drain pipe,
from s/n 702….
New boiler spare part code 0C4222 (factory code:
873882800).
Introduced a drain valve connected to the boiler
drain pipe, to easily empty and clean the boiler, from
s/n 702….
Drain valve spare part code 005902 (factory code:
835848500).
Implemented a descaling procedure to clean the
boiler, see relevant Handbooks.
Introduced on N900 Pasta Cooker the pressure
switch as safety device to avoid the heating element
working without water from s/n 722...

To install the new boiler in appliances older than s/n 702.. ,
1. remove the heating element inside the boiler, and then the boiler from
the bottom of the appliance,
2. make a hole (recommended Ø30mm) in the bottom of the appliance to
place the boiler drain pipe (see drawings below),
3. fix the boiler to the bottom with screws using the 2 holes (Ø7mm)
present in the boiler front part, and reconnect the rubber pipes to the
boiler pipes,
4. put again the heating element inside the boiler,
5. screw the drain valve on the boiler drain pipe from below.

To install the safety pressure switch on the boiler in N900 Rapid System
Pasta Cookers with s/n older than 722:
1. Add the following components per each tank:

2. Connect all the components as shown in the scheme below and
tighten all the pipes with cable clamps,

3. Fix the pressure switch support on the frontal cross piece and then fix

Step 1: disconnect these cables:
B1-2 in ½ module model,
B1-2 and B3-2
in 1 module model,
connected to the relevant main switch on contact 2 ( see blue
cables in the scheme of the old electric wiring diagram in the
previous page).
Then connect them to the relevant pressure switch on
contact 14.
Step 2: prepare a new cable (one per well) L=760mm, section:1 mm
2
with faston 250 Amp 280001 OT/SN on both cable-ends.
Connect this cable ( the green one in the scheme ) between
the main switch on contact 2 and the pressure switch on
contact 11.
To clean the boiler from scale use the following descaling
procedure (also present in the relevant Handbooks)
Prepare a descaling solution with 1/3 chemical detergent (for example
spare part code 0K9924 - follow also the instruction present on its
package) and 2/3 water,
open the boiler drain valve placed under the bottom of the appliance
and empty the boiler,
connect a rubber pipe to the boiler drain valve,
fill the boiler with the descaling solution through the rubber pipe till the
solution start coming out from the water faucet on the top,
at this point close the drain valve, and let the solution working for a
couple of hours,
then open the boiler drain valve and empty the boiler,
at this point close the boiler drain valve, open the tank drain valve and
clean the loading water system using the quick water filling for at least
5 minutes.
