Getting Started
Before first use
• Remove all packaging materials from the product and dispose of them
responsibly. Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young
children, so ensure all packaging materials are out of their reach.
• Inspect the mains power adaptor for damage. Do not use the product if the
adaptor or its cord have been damaged or are not working properly. In case of
damage, contact the after sales support line for advice.
Transmitter / charging base connections
• Connect the mains power adaptor (supplied) to an electrical outlet.
• Connect the mains adaptor cable to the DC IN input socket at the back of the
transmitter/charging base.
• Using the supplied RCA audio cable, connect the transmitter to the relevant
audio outputs on your TV, hi-fi or other relevant audio component.
As soon as you have connected both the power adaptor to the mains outlet and
the audio cable to a signal source, the red LED signal indicator will light up. If it
remains off, switch on the audio source and increase its output level until the red
indicator light comes on.

• Insert two rechargeable AAA size batteries (supplied), taking care to ensure
correct polarity.

Getting Started (Cont.)
Charging batteries
• Switch off the receiver headphone set.
• Place the headphone set on the transmitter, taking care to ensure that the
charge contacts touch the transmitters charge pins and the green charging
indicator is on.
• The charge process starts automatically. The green indicator light comes on and
will stay on during charging.
NOTE: Make sure to charge new batteries for 24 hours before using them for
the first time in the headphone set.
WARNING:
• The headphone set is designed for use with two rechargeable AAA size (LR03)
batteries only (supplied). Never use it with another type of battery or with non-
rechargeable batteries.
• Never attempt to recharge conventional (non-rechargeable) dry cell batteries.
• The batteries must be fully charged before first use. An initial 24 hour charge is
required to guarantee an acceptable service life for the rechargeable batteries.
• Always ensure that the headphone set is switched off while the batteries are
charging.
• When the headphone set is not in use, switch it off to avoid damaging the
batteries.
• When replacing the rechargeable batteries, or when disposing of the unit, make
sure to comply with any laws that apply in your area relating to the disposal of
batteries. Place the batteries in an appropriate disposal container to ensure that
they are eliminated safely and in an environmentally-friendly way, or contact
your local authorities for advice on recycling facilities in your area.

• Set up the unit as described in the “Getting Started” section on page 6.

connected to the transmitter.
• Switch on the headphone set.
• Place the headphones on your head and adjust the volume to obtain the
desired sound level.
• If you cannot find the best reception frequency, press the Auto Scan” button on
the headphones to get the fine scanned channel.
• You should now be able to move around freely from one room to another
without any interference. If interference does occur (interruptions in the signal),
press the Auto Scan button once to find a better reception channel.
NOTE: For better stereo reception, stay approximately seven metres away from
the transmitter when you press the Auto Scan button.
• If it is impossible to find a satisfactory frequency, change the channel setting
at the back of your transmitter, then press the Auto Scan” button on the
headphones to find the corresponding channel.
NOTE: To both protect the transmitter and save power, the transmitter will
automatically switch off after approximately four minutes if there is no audio
signal, or if the signal received from the audio source is too weak for proper
reception. It will automatically switch back on if the signal returns to an
acceptable level.
