Quick Start Guide
Congratulations on your new Bob and welcome to the bObsweep family!
Everything Bob needsfor his first clean can be found inside his box.
In just a few easy steps, Bob will be ready to work!
Install Bob’s Side Brush Bob’s side brush allows him to sweep along corners,
walls, and other hard-to- reach places. To install the side brush: Flip Bob over onto a
flat surface. Secure the side brush into the socket on Bob’s underside using the flathead
screwdriver and a screw found in Bob’s box.
Charge Bob Plug the charging adapter into the side of the charging station.
The station’s red power light will turn on. Place Bob on his charging station with the
metal plates on his underside lined up with the nodes on his station.
Prepare Bob’s Remote Bob’s FullCommand™ remote runs on 2 AAA batteries (not included).
Bob is now ready to clean!
Press the START button on his cover
— or AUTO on his FullCommand™ remote —
and he will clean on his default
Robot setting.
Before setting Bob to work,
clear his way of wires or objects that may tangle his brushes.
The ‘speed’ button on the remote allows you to shift between Bob’s
2 speeds, and set him for a slow and thorough cleaning, or a quick and casual one.
Do not expect Bob to see what humans see and move the way we would!
Bob works based on his own algorithms and does not have the same information about his
surrounding as humans do. When it is time to charge for example, he looks around for his charging
station but will only detect it when he faces it. That’s why bObsweep saves the last 15% of his battery
to find his home. To increase Bob’s success rate in finding his home, make sure the station has
an open space in front and sides, and is placed on a hard, flat surface.
Keep the charging station away from your TV or other devices that use infrared signals.
In the box, you will find 6 protective bumper stickers that can be used to mitigate Bob’s impact
on delicate furniture. If you wish to use them, attach them horizontally on Bob’s front bumper
above the transparent sensor cover (be careful not to cover the sensors).
