COMPONENTS
Refer to Figure 4 for the location of the components listed
below.
1. Balloon Cover — A zippered, black vinyl bag that
covers the 2400 W Lamp. It collapses and secures
atop the unit when setting up for operations.
2. Velcro Strips — Two Velcro strips are connected to the
balloon bag to support optional message strips (contact
MQ Sales Department for information).
3. Balloon Stand — Holds the balloon lighting system.
4. Actuator — Permits the adjustment of the lamp stand
via the control panel.
5. Main Lamp Power Cable — Connects the lamp
assemblies to the power output of the generator.
6. Lifting Eye — Use this center of gravity lifting point
when required to transport the unit via a supportive
chain or strap. NEVER stand underneath the GBX24BK
while it is being lifted.
7. Rear Hatch — Lockable and provides immediate
access to the engine, generator, fuel tank, and 12V
battery.
8. Engine Oil Drain — Used to drain used engine oil.
9. Forklift Pockets — For the ease of light tower
transportation via a forklift.
10. Locking Pin — These pins must be securely in place
once the jackstands are positioned to ensure the overall
security of the jackstands and outrigger sections.
11. Tie-Down Points — Used for securing light tower
when transporting.
12. Outriggers — Should always be deployed and locked
in place during operation.
13. Tires — Utilizes two ST175/80 R-13 5-lug pneumatic
tires. Replace with only recommended type tire.
NEVER allow the rear tires to go flat.
14. Jackstand — Four jackstands and two outrigger
assemblies are provided to properly level and secure
the unit to uneven surfaces and to withstand windy
operating conditions. Additionally, a level bubble is
located near the lifting eye on top of the cabinet to
assist in leveling the light tower.
15. Safety Chain — A safety chain is provided to be
included in the proper process of preparing the light
tower for towing.
16. Ground Terminal — Connects to ground.
17. External Power Receptacle — Provides convenient
external power.
18. Control Panel — The singular control station to start/
stop the engine, monitor the engine safeguards, view
the hour meter, control the lamp dimmer, adjust the
lamp stand position, and access the main circuit
breakers.
19. Mast Handle — Aids the operator in rotating the mast
to the desired direction. Mast lock must be disengaged
to rotate the mast.
20. Winch Handle — Opposing operating handles that
controls the mast sections in travel.
21. Mast Winch — A self-locking, mechanical hoist that
controls the mast sections to effectively raise and
lower the entire assembly. Always be on the lookout
for overhead obstructions. Keep immediate area free
of bystanders and debris when raising the mast.
22. Mast — 5-stage telescopic mast assembly that is
mechanically raised to a maximum height of 23 feet,
and pivots 359 degrees.
23. Mast Locking Shackle — Shackle needs to be
released before raising mast. Lock shackle to keep
mast in place.
24. Balloon Bag — This balloon is made of a heat-
resistant, weather-resistant polyester material. The
balloon can be easily removed and washed with
common washing detergents.
25. LED Lamp — 2400 W lamp with dimming control of
40 to 100%.
26. LED Guard — Protects the LED lamp from being hit
by objects.
27. Fan — Inflates the balloon.
28. Error Indicator — Lights when an error is detected.
29. Cable — Connects the balloon lamp to the power
output of the generator.
