Basic Safety Precautions
Whenever operating the vehicle, make sure that you and your occupants are properly
wearing your seat belts. Small children should always ride in the rear seat in the appro-
priate child restraint system (see your Owner’s Manual for child safety details).
Never place children under 13 years old in the front seats to avoid injury that may result
from air bag deployment.
Always refer to your Owner’s Manual for complete safety precaution information.
NOTE: If the driver’s seat belt is not fastened when the ignition key is turned to the ON
or START position, the seat belt reminder light will blink and the warning chime
will sound for approximately six seconds to remind the driver to fasten the
driver’s seat belt.

Insert disc into rear CD/DVD slot (the front CD slot does NOT support DVD playback).
Open the overhead LCD display.
To enable audio:
n Press CD/RSE until RSE MODE appears on the front audio display screen.
n OR press the MODE button on the steering wheel controls until RSE MODE
is displayed.
To disable the rear controls, press and hold CD/RSE for two seconds.
To re-enable the rear controls, press and hold CD/RSE for an additional two seconds.
Eject disc by pressing
next to the rear CD/DVD slot.
Other audio options:
n To listen to the regular car stereo while simultaneously using RSE, use the front
controls to change to the desired audio mode. Alternatively, press MODE on the
steering wheel controls.
n Use the headsets to listen to RSE audio at any time (note that headsets will not
function when used from the front seats).

Hood Release
To unlatch the hood, pull the release
lever. The hood should pop up slightly.
Child-Protector Rear Door Lock
LOCK – Does not allow opening the
rear door from inside the vehicle.
UNLOCK – Allows opening the rear
door from inside and outside the vehicle.
Located in the center console, the cool
box can keep items warm or cool by
using the open/close knob of the vent
installed in the center console box.
When in use, turn the open/close knob
to the “open” position and set the
climate control mode to the
position.
When the cool box is not in use, turn
the knob to its “closed” position.
PASSENGER AIR BAG
OFF INDICATOR
The indicator will illuminate for
approximately four seconds when you
turn the ignition switch to ON or START.
The light will not illuminate when the
passenger’s air bag is enabled. The
occupant classification system will
disable the right front passenger’s air
bag under certain conditions (light on).
Refer to your Owner’s Manual for a
complete description of this system.
NOTE: The driver’s air bag and the
driver’s side impact air bag are
not part of the occupant
classification system.

SEAT POSITIONS
1. Shift the transmission lever into
P (Park) while the ignition switch
is ON.
2. Adjust the driver’s seat, outside
rearview mirror and steering wheel
to the desired positions.
3. Press the SET button on the
control panel. The system will
beep once.
4. Press one of the memory buttons
1 or 2 within 5 seconds of
pressing the SET button. The
system will beep twice when
memory has been successfully
stored to that button.
TO RECALL POSITIONS
FROM MEMORY
1. Shift the transmission lever into
P (Park) while the ignition switch
is ON.
2. To recall the position in memory,
press the desired memory button
1 or 2. The system will beep
once, then the driver’s seat,
outside rearview mirror and
steering wheel will automatically
adjust to the stored positions.

Wireless Control System
can conveniently replace up to three
hand-held radio-frequency transmitters,
such as garage doors, estate gates, and
home lighting. Controls for HomeLink
®
are located in the lower portion of the
inside rearview mirror.

There are four ways to open and close
the power tailgate:

NOTE: When the power ON/OFF button
(PWR), located to the left of the
glove box (upon opening), is

the tailgate can be controlled
with the keyfob or the main
control button on the driver
controls even when the
power ON/OFF button (PWR)
is OFF.
