3. Battery Maintenance and Charging
Safety
Damaged or overheated lithium batteries are a safety
hazard and have to be handled with extreme care!
Specifications and limitations
Rechargeable internal (non-removable) lithium poly-
mer battery (2’450 mAh at 3.7 V). The battery should
not be exposed to temperatures above 60°C.
A fully charged battery lasts for up to 100 hours. The
runtime depends on the use of the device as well as
other factors such as battery age, temperature, con-
nection quality, screen brightness etc.
Charging
The battery should be charged on a daily basis if the
device is in frequent use. If the device is stored, the
battery should be charged monthly to ensure its oper-
ation in emergencies and prevent deep discharge.
The battery can be charged through the device’s mi-
cro-USB port with any compatible charger such as
notebook USB ports, wall chargers, car lighter plug
chargers, solar chargers or mobile power banks.
Depending on the power source, charging the device
takes 3-6 hours.
