OPERATION
TRANSMITTER
1. Place the transmitter about one meter away from the crib with the microphone
facing towards the baby.
2. Using the power/channel selector switch on the unit to either Channel 1 or 2.
The LCD will show the baby sleeping icon. If the batteries become run
down, the low battery icon will start blinking in the LCD. Recharge the battery
using the charger stand or operate from house current using the supplied
AC adapter.
3. Adjust the microphone sensitivity knob such that the unit will be set to transmit
whenever the microphone picks up a sound at your desirable loudness
level. The LCD will show the baby crying icons alternately once the unit is in
transmit mode.
4. The unit will automatically return to standby mode a few seconds after the
microphone stops picking up any sound.
5. Since this baby monitor is equipped with out-of-range alert feature, the
transmitter will transmit a signal to the receiver at regular intervals even when
the microphone does not pick up any sound. The out-of-range icon will blink
correspondingly in the LCD.
6. Everytime the unit transmits or gives a low battery warning, the LCD will be
back lighted automatically to show the icons in dark environment.
RECEIVER
1. Set the channel selector to the same channel as the transmitter.
2. Turn the volume control to switch on the unit at a reasonable distance away
from the transmitter. (Too close a distance will create feedback which cause
a queer sound at the speaker.)
3. The LCD will show the baby sleeping icon. If the batteries become run down,
the low battery icon will start blinking in the LCD. A low battery warning
alarm will also be heard. Recharge the battery using the charger stand.
N.B. The out-of-range alarm may also sound for a while until the unit
receives a signal from the transmitter.
5

4. Whenever a voice is received, the LCD will show the baby crying icons
alternately. This moving graphic is useful to alert the parents in case the
volume is turned down to keep the environment quiet.
5. Once the receiver is outside the communication range of the transmitter for
over 30 seconds, the out-of-range icon will start blinking in the LCD. An
out-of-range warning alarm will also be heard.
N.B. This alarm will also be heard in case the transmitter is switched off
or its battery has run down or the digital code setting between the transmitter
and receiver is different.
6. Everytime the unit receives a voice or sounds an alarm, the LCD will be back
lighted automatically to show the icons in dark environment.
Both receiver and transmitter can be carried around using
the belt clip for convenience. To remove belt clip, follow
diagram as shown.
