Thank you for deciding to buy the ANSMANN Powerline 4 charger with Zero Watt Technology. These operating
instructions will help you to use all features of Powerline 4 charger in an optimum and safe way. Please read the
operating instructions carefully before use. We hope you are happy with your new charger.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
> Please read the operating instructions carefully before using the charger!
> Do not use the device if there are signs of any damage to the housing, mains plug, DC plug or cable.
Please contact an authorised dealer if in doubt!
> Only charge either NiMH or NiCd cells. Danger of explosion if other types of batteries are inserted! Do not charge
non-rechargeable batteries!
> Observe polarity (+/-) prior to use!
> Keep the charger in a dry environment!
> In order to avoid the risk of fire and/or electric shock, the charger must be protected against high humidity and water!
> Before cleaning the unit, disconnect it from the mains and only use a dry cloth!
> Never attempt to open the device! The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
> Keep away from children's reach!
> Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance!
> Do not leave the device unattended when in operation!
> If the safety instructions are not followed, it may lead to damage to the device or battery and could cause injury!

FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW
> Intelligent charger for 1-4 NiMH or NiCd cells in sizes Mignon (AA) and Micro (AAA)
> Zero Watt Technology means no standby power consumption. The charger automatically disconnects itself from the
mains power once the batteries are fully charged
> To start the charging process, press the START button for approx. 2 sec. (only when operated with AC power)
> The charging condition of cells is not important before charging, as each cell is charged individually
> Microprocessor controlled charging and monitoring of the charging status
> Microprocessor controlled and individual supervision of each cell
> Automatic charging current adjustment
> Reverse polarity protection
> Multiple over charging protection systems including: -ΔV detection, 0ΔV detection and safety timer
> Trickle charging
> Faulty cell detection / accidental Alkaline insertion detection
> Clear LED indicator per charging slot shows the individual rechargeable battery status
