> Please read the operating instructions carefully before using the charger!
> This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety!
> Do not use the device if there are signs of any damage to the housing, mains plug or cable.
Please contact an authorised dealer!
> Only charge either NiMH or NiCd cells. Never mix both battery types. Danger of explosion if other types of
batteries are inserted! Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries!
> Observe polarity (+/-) prior to use!
> Please note that due to the high charging current, use only good quality batteries from a well known brand in
this charger. Using inferior quality batteries could cause damage to the batteries themselves, and/or the
charger, if they are not suitable for fast charging. If unsuitable cells are inserted in the charger, warranty
claims cannot be accepted and the warranty will become void! Only batteries with appropriate capacities may
be charged in the respective switch position:
“Fast charge”: AA min. 2100mAh / AAA min. 800mAh
”Standard charge”: AA min. 800mAh / AAA min. 300mAh
> Keep the charger in a dry place!
> In order to avoid the risk of re and/or electric shock, the charger must be protected against high humidity
and water!

> Automatic start of charging at contact with the battery
> Microprocessor controlled charging and monitoring of the charging status
> Microprocessor controlled and individual supervision of each cell
> Automatic charging current adjustment
> Reverse polarity protection
> Multiple over charging protection by -deltaV detection, temperature control and safety timer
> Automatic switch to trickle charge
> Faulty rechargeable battery detection and Alkaline detection
> Clear LED indicator per charging slot shows the rechargeable battery status
> Switch mode power supply (100-240V AC / 50-60Hz) for worldwide use
> Operation also with the provided 12V car adapter possible

Place the charger on a level surface and make sure that the ventilation slots are not covered. Connect the power supply
or the 12V car adapter to the charger and afterwards to the power source (see TECHNICAL DATA). Select the charge
current by the switch „Fast charge“ / „Standard charge“ before inserting fast rechargeable batteries. We recommend
that NiCd cells are charged in the switch position „Standard charge”. Always connect the cells in the right direction for
polarity (according to the symbols in the charging slots). After inserting a cell, the charging process starts automati-
cally. This charger can charge 1 - 4 NiCd or NiMH cells of the sizes Mignon (AA) or Micro (AAA). When several cells
are to be charged, they do not need to be inserted at the same time, as the charging process starts individually. The
charge state of each cell will be indicated by the LED (see LED INDICATORS). It is normal that batteries become warm

during charging. The cooling of batteries is made by a fan. The fan runs once a cell will be charged and turns o when
all inserted cells have been fully charged. Then the charger switches automatically to trickle charging.

> Green LED ashes slowly (1 time per sec.) „charge“: battery is being charged
> Green LED ashes quickly (4 times per sec.) „error“: no charging; battery defective or non-rechargeable
battery recognised
> Green LED lights continuously „ready“: battery fully charged; after termination of fast charging the unit
switches over to trickle charging; the cells may be left in the charger until they are needed without being
overcharged or losing capacity

The charger has no function:
> Check if the power supply is correctly connected to the power outlet and if the output cable of the power
supply is correctly connected to the charger
> Check, if the outlet has power; connect another functional electrical device to check the power outlet
> When operating in the car, check if the car adapter is correctly connected to the charger and the car-lighter
socket; it is possible that the cigarette-lighter works only when the ignition is switched on
The inserted battery is not being charged:
> Check, if the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity;
> Ensure, that you inserted suitable rechargeable batteries into the charging slot; suitable batteries for charging
are only fast rechargeable NiCd/NiMH battery types of AA and AAA
