Mondopad Installation Check List

Mondopads are the easy to use, full feature, collaboration solution for any meeting room or
office. To get the most out of your Mondopad, be sure to complete the following list of
installation and setup steps.

Important note: before physically installing and mount the Mondopad to a wall, check if a
Windows Activation Code sticker and Office Activation Code sticker are attached to the back
of the panel or in the accessory boxes. If so, take a clear, detailed picture of the codes to
use during the initial software setup process.
If your Mondopad does not have these stickers, your Mondopad is prepared for automatic
activation. Windows and Office will automatically activate based on secure digital codes
embedded in the system.
Software Setup and Configuration
Power on the Mondopad and complete the software setup processes.
o Complete Windows OOBE and activation (if necessary, your Windows
Activation Code sticker will be provided attached to a flyer)
o Complete Mondopad OOBE
o Complete Office activation – includes email account to associate with
the Office installation on the Mondopad (if necessary, your Office
Activation Code sticker will be provided on the back of the panel)
o Apply updates to Windows and/or Office if necessary.
o Apply Mondopad update if necessary. Check in the
Mondopad/Extras/About screen. Admin login is required.
Sign on to local WiFi, if necessary
Register Mondopad at www.infocus.com/register and receive ConX 3-Seat room
activation code (via an email account) – Note, the display’s serial number is on
back or in the display’s settings menu.
o Register your free ConX 3-Seat room account
at www.infocusconx.com/activate
o Add ConX room# to local Contacts in Video Meeting and create Favorite
(creates home screen icon for direct call)
Register Mondopad with www.infocus.net
Create a USB stick with ControlView 2.0 and 121 Video Dialer and then install
the appropriate application on your local PCs/Macs.
o You can download ControlView 2.0 for Windows directly from your
Mondopad by opening a browser to the IP address of the Mondopad.
o The 121 Video Dialer is available at www.infocus.com/121desktop.
o Also, consider installing the Chrome browser plugin, InFocus LightCast
Sender. This tool provides a convenient to cast, wirelessly display, your
PC or Mac notebook’s screen to the Mondopad. From Chrome browser,
go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/apps and search
for “LightCast sender”
Customizing Your Mondopad
Change Mondopad’s PC Name – often users change the name to reflect the
conference room. Change the name via Windows Control Panel.
Change Email account – If you prefer to use a company account for your
Mondopad, we suggest that you make the email name similar to the PC Name.
Change the email account via the Mondopad Admin web interface accessible
through the Browser module.
Change Mondopad background. You can create your own. But remember the
image design should work well with our home screen buttons. A dark area
behind them is best. Select a new background through the Mondopad Admin
web interface.
InFocus provides a SIP Video Calling account using the serial number of the
system (e.g. [email protected]). Consider purchasing an alias for the SIP
Video Calling account at www.infocus.net to customize the video calling
address.
Consider purchasing a 10-digit audio (PSTN) number for direct audio calls via
the Mondopad – also at www.infocus.net. With this number, you will be able to
make and receive regular audio calls directly from your Mondopad.
Training
For additional tips and information in configuring and customizing your Mondopad, contact
your Mondopad Dealer to purchase and sign up for 1, 2, or 4 hours of personal virtual training.
