Connecting the System and TV
This hookup is the basic connection of the system and TV.
Positioning the speakers, IR transmitter, and IR
receiver of the surround speaker (L)
All the speakers can be placed from 0.0 to 6.9 meters (0 to 23 ft)
from the listening position. Install the IR transmitter and IR receiver of
the surround speaker (L) in direct line with each other.

Switch the input selector on your TV so that the signal
from the system appears on the TV screen.
[Press [ENTER] to run QUICK SETUP.] appears at the bottom of
the screen. If this message does not appear, display the Quick Setup
and perform again.

Press without inserting a disc.
The Setup Display for selecting the language used in the on-screen
display appears.

Press / to select a language.
The system displays the menu and subtitles in the selected
language.

• If your TV does not accept RGB signals, no picture appears on the TV

Connect the calibration mic to the ECM-AC1 jack on the
rear of the subwoofer and set up the calibration mic at
the ear level using a tripod, etc. (not supplied).
The front of each speaker should face the calibration mic, and there
should be no obstruction between the speakers and the calibration
mic.

Press / to select [YES], then press .
[AUTO CALIBRATION] starts. Be quiet during the measurement.
Note
• Loud test sound is output when [AUTO CALIBRATION] starts. You
cannot turn the volume down. Give consideration to children and
neighbor.
• When you install the surround speaker (L) to the right position, the system
sets the “SL SR REVERSE” (reversing the speaker position) setting in the
AMP menu to “ON” automatically.

Unplug the calibration mic and press / to select [YES].
Quick Setup is finished. All connections and setup operations are
complete.

• If measurement fails, follow the message then retry [AUTO
CALIBRATION].

apparaît sur son écran, même si vous sélectionnez [RVB]. Reportez-vous
aux instructions fournies avec votre téléviseur.

Raccordez le micro d’étalonnage à la prise ECM-AC1
située à l’arrière du caisson de graves et placez-le à
hauteur d’oreille à l’aide d’un trépied (non fourni), par
exemple.
La face avant de chaque enceinte doit être dirigée vers le micro
d’étalonnage et il ne doit y avoir aucun obstacle entre eux.

Appuyez sur / pour sélectionner [OUI], puis appuyez
sur .
L’[ETALONNAGE AUTO] commence. Ne faites pas de bruit
pendant la mesure.
Remarque
• Le démarrage de l’[ETALONNAGE AUTO] entraîne l’émission d’un son
de test puissant. Il n’est pas possible de diminuer le volume. Pensez aux
enfants et à vos voisins !
• Lorsque vous installez l’enceinte surround (L) à droite, la chaîne règle
automatiquement le paramètre « SL SR REVERSE » du menu AMP sur
« ON », inversant ainsi la position des enceintes.

Débranchez le micro d’étalonnage et appuyez sur /
pour sélectionner [OUI].
L’Installation rapide est terminée. Vous avez effectué tous les
raccordements et toutes les opérations d’installation.
Remarque
• En cas déchec des mesures, suivez le message et recommencez l’
[ETALONNAGE AUTO].
