5. Commissioning, operation
Due to the small stroke of the hand test pump, test only test items with small
volumes.
1. Turn the pressure relief and switching valve
13
to the “VENT” setting.
2. Turn the fine adjustment valve
5
anticlockwise, until a slight stops is felt.
3. Turn the pressure relief and switching valve
13
to the “PRESSURE” setting.
4. Use the ram
7
to pump until the desired pressure is approximately achieved.
5. Use the fine adjustment valve,
5
until the desired pressure is reached exactly; max.
+7 bar (+101.5 psi)
⇒
Turn clockwise in order to increase the pressure.
⇒
Turn anticlockwise in order to reduce the pressure.
After increasing the pressure, the value displayed can drop slightly again for
about 30 seconds.
The causes can be thermodynamic effects, the hose connection and the
sealings.
Readjust the pressure using the fine adjustment valve
5
. If the pressure still
drop, check the measuring circuit for leaks.
5.6 Reducing pressure
1. Turn the pressure relief and switching valve
13
carefully to the “VENT” setting, until the
desired pressure is approximately achieved.
2. Turn the pressure relief and switching valve
13
back to the “PRESSURE” setting.
3. Turn the fine adjustment valve
5
until the desired pressure is reached.
⇒
Turn clockwise in order to increase the pressure.
⇒
Turn anticlockwise in order to reduce the pressure.
5.7 Vacuum generation
1. Turn the pressure relief and switching valve
13
to the “VENT” setting.
2. Turn the fine adjustment valve
5
clockwise, until a slight stops is felt.
3. Turn the pressure relief and switching valve
13
to the “VACUUM” setting.
4. Use the ram
7
to pump until the desired vacuum is approximately achieved.
5. Use the fine adjustment valve,
5
until the desired vacuum is reached exactly, max.
-0.85 bar (-12.3 psi).
⇒
Turn clockwise in order to reduce the vacuum.
⇒
Turn anticlockwise in order to increase the vacuum.
After increasing the vacuum, the value displayed can rise slightly again for
about 30 seconds.
The causes can be thermodynamic effects, the hose connection and the
sealings.
Readjust the pressure using the fine adjustment valve
5
. If the pressure still
rise, check the measuring circuit for leaks.
