This kit is intended only for use with the Jacobsen
®
Eclipse
®
and Eclipse2 100 series greens mower.
1. Park the mower on a flat and level surface, fully lower the
cutting units to the ground, engage the parking brake,
turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, and remove
the key.
a. Wait for all movement to stop before making any
adjustments or modifications.
b. Allow sufficient time for the unit to cool down.
c. Take this opportunity to thoroughly inspect the
equipment and perform other required maintenance.
Light kit jumper harness 4271571 may be required to install
this kit on Eclipse2 mowers.
Light Assembly ____________________________________________________________________
Eclipse Mowers
1. Assemble headlight (Item 3) to light mount (Item 2).
2. Assemble light mount to adapter bracket (Item 6) using
two 5/16-24 x 3/4” Hex head screws (Item 1), lockwashers
(Item 5), and nuts (Item 8).
3. Assemble light assembly to Eclipse mower using 5/16-18
x 1/2” screws (Item 7) and lockwashers (Item 5).
Eclipse2 Mowers
1. Assemble headlight (Item 3) to light mount (Item 2).
2. Assemble light mount (Item 2) to Eclipse
2
mower using
two 5/16-18 x 1-3/4” screws (Item 12), lockwashers (Item
5), and spacers (Item 13)

Light Kit Harness __________________________________________________________________
1. Locate identification tag on light kit harness. Check
harness revision.
a. Eclipse mowers can use harness with Rev B or Rev C
harness without jumper harness.
b. Eclipse2 mowers will require jumper harness 4271571
with Rev B harness.
c. Eclipse2 mowers can use harness with Rev C harness
without modification.

Before you install this kit, read the Safety & Operation
Manual to become familiar with the mower, the controls,
and proper use of the equipment.
Stay alert for potential hazards and follow all safety
precautions. Read all instructions completely and make
sure you understand them before proceeding with the
assembly.

WARNING
Before you attempt to clean, adjust, or repair any of this
equipment, disengage all drives, shut down the engine,
and allow the unit to cool. Remove the key from the
ignition switch and disconnect the power connector to
prevent accidental discharge and potential bodily
injuries.

Rev B Light Kit Harness
2. Plug headlight connector (9A) of light kit harness (Item 9)
into back of headlight.
3. Route harness down along light mount.
4. Eclipse Mowers: Locate mower harness light connector
(A). Plug harness connector (9B) into mower harness (A).
Route light kit harness (Item 9) along mower harness
under power source mount, around outside of frame and
up handle tube. Secure light kit harness to mower harness
and light mount in locations shown using cable ties (Item
4).
5. Eclipse2 Mowers: Remove rear handle cover (B). Locate
mower harness light connector (A). Plug jumper harness
4271571 into light kit harness (9B). Route jumper harness
toward rear of mower, up left handle tube and connect to
mower harness light connector (A).
Route light kit harness (Item 9) towards right side of the
mower then up right side handle tube. Secure light kit har-
ness and jumper harness using cable ties (Item 4)

Rev C Light Kit Harness
2. Plug headlight connector (9A) of light kit harness (Item 9)
into back of headlight.
3. Route harness down along light mount.
4. Eclipse Mowers: Locate mower harness light connector
(A). Fold light kit harness branch back along light kit
harness towards headlight until connector (9B) can be
plugged into mower harness (A).
Route light kit harness (Item 9) along mower harness
under power source mount, around outside of frame and
up handle tube. Secure light kit harness to mower harness
and light mount in locations shown using cable ties (Item
4).
5. Eclipse2 Mowers: Remove rear handle cover (B) Locate
mower harness light connector (A). Route harness
towards rear of mower on the side of the power module
mount. Route branch of harness up left side of handle.
Connect light kit harness (9B) to mowers harness (A).
Route light kit harness along back side of power module
mount and up right side handle tube. Secure light kit har-
ness to mower harness and light mount in locations shown
using cable ties (Item 4).

Light Switch _______________________________________________________________________
1. Remove handle cover (C). Only move cover far enough
away for access to the back side of the cover without
disconnecting LCD display, key switch, circuit breaker, or
backlap switch.
2. Using dimensions shown, carefully drill 25/32 in. (20 mm)
hole in handle cover. Make sure not to damage LCD
display, mower harness, or other components when
drilling holes.
NOTE:
A 3/4 in. (19 mm) hole may be drilled if a 25/32 in. drill
bit is not available, but will cause very tight fit of switch.
3. Assemble switch (Item 10) to handle cover (B). ON (1)
side of switch should face towards handle loop.
4. Connect red wire of light kit harness (Item 9) to OFF (0)
side of switch. Connect blue wire of light kit harness to ON
(1) side of switch.
5. Assemble handle cover. Check to be sure not to pinch
wires between cover halves, and that wiring does not
contact or interfere with moving parts.
6. Clean area on handle cover with cleaning fluid, such as
alcohol, and apply light decal (Item 11).
