CPS-MC341-ADSC1-931
First Step Guide
CONTEC CO., LTD.
Thank you for purchasing the CPS-MC341-ADSC1-931. This guide describes how to run the CONPROSYS devices to
monitor the facilities such as indicator light ON/OFF status and motor rotations. Please refer to “CPS-MC341-ADSC1-
931 Hardware Manual” regarding the hardware of the product, and System Setup Guide for M2M controller series for
the software.
1. How to connect to an indicator light
The device imports on/off status of an indicator light as digital input signals and monitor the condition.
An example) with LED signal light tower LD6A type by IDEC (Connect the red LED indicator to DI0).
- Connecting with an external contact
- Connecting with the NPN transistor
- Connecting with the PNP transistor
* Solely 12 - 24VDC specification type of an indicator light is connectable to the device.
* Please connect properly by following the guideline of the indicator light.

2. How to connect to a current sensor
The device checks whether a motor is rotating and imports the condition by current sensor (CT) to monitor. The
current sensor should be placed between the motor and the amplifier.
An example) with a current sensor by U_RD (connect sensor output to AI0)
* If the output from the current sensor is AC voltage, you need to convert it into DC current output (0 - 20mA or 4 -
20mA) by converter.
* Please connect properly by following the guideline of the current sensor and the converter.
3. Connecting LAN cable and Power-on
Connect the device LAN A and a LAN connector of PC with an Ethernet cable.
For the device LAN A, IP address of the default factory is set as 10.1.1.101. Set the PC on the same network via LAN
cable (such as 10.1.1.102).
After connecting the Ethernet cable, turn on the power of the device.
4. Monitoring the status by HMI Viewer
Start a WEB browser of your PC and access http://10.1.1.101/.
The server will ask for your username and password. Enter user name: “mc341” and password: “mc341” in the
dialog box.
The Status menu appears and select “Monitoring view”. The new page opens and the I/O monitoring screen will be
shown.
* Please use Chrome, Firefox or IE11 for a WEB browser.

Digital Input
The lamp will be lit or out in accordance with on/off of the indicator light.
Analog Input
The current value to the motor will be displayed. 0 - 20mA input is corresponding to 0 - 4095.
An example) with a converter (CMD-1-CV-5) by U_RD current sensor (CTL-12-5R-1).
The current sensor input: 0 - 5Arms output: 0 - 1Vrms
The converter input: 0 - 1Vrms output: 4 - 20mADC
Digital Output
The digital output will be switched on or off in accordance with on/off of the switch.
Counter Input
This displays the input counter value in the range between 0 and 16777215.
When counter value goes beyond 16777215, it returns to 0.
Counter Clear
Checking off the “Clear” box clears the counter value to zero.
5. Connecting the device to MT-LINKi by FANUC
Connecting the device LAN A to MT-LINKi makes the device communicate as an OPC UA server, and MT-LINKi as an
OPC UA client.
LAN B can perform as a switching HUB when connecting several devices.
- When connecting several devices using HUB.
- When connecting several devices using switching HUB of CONPROSYS devices.
* CONPROSYS devices can be connected up to 100 units.
* Two connecting types described above can be combined to compose the system.
* Each IP address of the default factory is set as 10.1.1.101. When you wish to use several devices simultaneously,
set the IP address individually. Connecting devices with the same default setting will result in duplicating the IP
addresses and communication error.
* LAN cable can be used as a straight cable or as a crossing cable.
* When connecting several devices using switching HUB of CONPROSYS devices, all the above devices should be
powered on to communicate with MT-LINKi.
