Select your flying area carefully. Always choose an open space that is unobstructed
from trees, buildings, and away from crowded areas. Avoid flying in areas with roads,
electric or telephone wires, or close proximity to full size air traffic.
Do not fly this model in poor weather including high winds, low visibility, rain, or
thunderstorms.
Never attempt to catch this model whilst in flight. Even a slow moving model can cause
harm to yourself or others.
This model is recommended for children no younger than 14 years old. All chilled
should always be supervised by a capable and responsible adult when operating this
model.
Always unplug your model battery when not in use. Do not leave the battery installed in

Remain clear from the propeller at all times when the flight battery is connected. A
spinnginpropeller can cause bodily injury.
Before flying always turn ON your transmitter first, then connect your flight battery to
the model.
After flying, always disconnect your flight battery first, then turn OFF your transmitter.
Always exercise caution when charging batteries. Follow the recommended charging
instructions from your battery manufacturer, and use a charger with charging
parameters that match your battery type.

Airframe Assembly
2) Attach aluminum landing gear to fuselage with four M2 x 16mm course thread screws.
3) Apply glue to the wheel pants. Stick wheel pant to aluminum gear to thoroughly spread glue. Glue
works best as a contact adhesive. Stick pant to landing gear, pull off, wait 2 minutes, then
re-attach.
4) Glue horizontal stabilizer to fuselage. Use same contact adhesive method as before. Attach
elevator control rod to elevator control horn.
Airframe Assembly
5) Glue vertical fin to fuselage after attaching horizontal stabilizer. Apply glue into slot on stablizer.
Do not apply excess glue. Attached rudder control rod to control horn.
6) Apply glue to horizontal stabilizer tips. Only apply glue to top and bottom surfaces, not the
stabilzer end. Do not apply glue past the molded ridge. From there, slip on stabilizer sub-fins. Tail
assembly now complete.
7) Apply glue to fuselage and attach winglets
8) Attach propeller and spinner to motor shaft. Text on propeller should face forward. Secure prop
with 10mm nut. Secure spinner to backplate with two screws.
1) Attach tail boom assembly to the forward fuselage section with two M4 x 90mm, and two M4 x
70mm machine screws.

9) Out of the box, one rotor blade is pre-attached to the blade holder. Attach the other two blades
securely to the blade holder using a phillips screwdriver. Blades are designed to be able to fold
easily for transport yet remain tight enough for flight.
10) Slide the main rotor head assembly onto the shaft and then tighten the two locking nuts
provided. After tighening with pliers, complete rotor head assembly by hand tightening the plastic
head button to rotor shaft.
11) Plug each servo into the appropriate channel of your 5+ channel receiver. Refer to our radio
manual for the appropriate channel assignments. Use channel 5 (gear) as the on/off for the
auto-start system.
12) Insert your flight battery into the battery tray and secure with velcro strap. After turning on your
transmitter, plug in the battery to the ESC to arm the whole radio system. After the radio has
armed, plug the auto-start connector into the balance plug of your battery. Double check polarity
before plugging in. Reversed polarity will damage the auto-start system.

**Critical Note** With controls at neutral, adjust control both
control rods for rotor head to tilt it to the left approximately 7
degrees. (Viewed from behind) This is critical, otherwise model
will want to roll severely at takeoff if rotor head is level and may
lead to a crash. Use the supplied laser cut plywood jig

Battery Charging Warnings
1) Before flying this model, check that the model is assembled per this manual and is free
from any damage that may have occured during transport.
2) Insert flight battery, and check for proper center of gravity. Secure battery with velcro
on the bottom of pack and velcro strap around it. If the battery shifts in flight it could
cause a loss of control.
3) Ensure that pushrods and control surfaces move freely with no binding. For best
results, disconnect pushrods and flex the hinges by hand to free up the hinges.
Reconnect control rods prior to first flight.
4) After turning on the transmitter and then connecting the flight battery, perform a full
range test, and then check control direction per the guide above.
5) Conduct a full power test, and ensure that the auto-start system functions properly.
6) Inspect your flight location, making sure it is free from trees, vehicles, people, or other
obstructions before taking off.
**Important Note** For best results, spin the rotor head by hand before
using the auto-start. This will reduce the load on the system, and allow
for faster spool ups.
