IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be

followed including the following :

1. Read all instructions carefully.

2. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not put motor end of

the appliance in water or other liquid.

3. This appliance should not be used by children and care should be

taken when used near children.

4. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off

parts and before cleaning.

5. Avoid contacting moving parts.

6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after

the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner.

Return appliance to the nearest authorised service facility for

examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.

7. Do not use on stove.

8. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance

manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.

9. Do not use outdoors.

10. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot

surfaces.

11. Blades are sharp, handle with care.

12. When mixing liquids, especially hot liquids, use a tall container or

make small quantities at a time to reduce spilling.

13. Possibility of severe injury to persons or damage to the unit. A

scraper may be used but must be used only when the unit is not

running.

HOW TO USE

Before using, clean the motor housing with a damp cloth. Wash the

blending stick and blade and wipe it dry.

1. Your hand blender, blends, mixes, whips and chops, fast and easy.

Use it to make mayonnaise, soups, purees, mixed drinks, cocktails,

baby food, dietary foods.

2. It can be operated in bowl, pan or any other container.

3. When using directly in a sauce pan while cooking remove pan from

stove.

4. To prevent splashing, place blender into container, then start

afterwards the motor.

**This unit is designed for intermittent use. Do not run non-stop for more

than 1 minute: then allow the motor to cool for at least 4 minutes **

HOT BLENDING INSTRUCTIONS

To prevent scalding when mixing or blending hot ingredients, the

following precautions and procedures must be observed :

1. Use tall container less than half full or make small quantities at a

time.

2. Insert blade end into container until it is touching the bottom before

starting.

3. Take care not to lift blender out of hot ingredients while motor is on to

avoid splashing.

4. Do not stand directly over container of hot ingredients while

operating.

HOW TO CLEAN

1. Always unplug the unit before cleaning.

2. The unit is easiest to clean by placing the blade end under hot,

running water immediately after completing the blending task and

wiping the blade dry to prevent tarnishing.

3. Clean the motor/handle part by wiping with a damp cloth or sponge.

4. Do not use abrasives, scourers etc. or aggressive liquids such as

acetone for cleaning.

5. NEVER IMMERSE motor end into water.
