INTRODUCTION:
АМТ TDD-3 is intended for use both in studio and live performances. .
AMT TDD-3 is a timed digital delay.
Functional abilities and intuitive algorithm of the device operation allows quick
and effective sound adjustments. Wide range of adjustments and simplicity of
their change makes TDD-3 operation easy and comfortable.
AMT TDD-3 features:
9 Two modes of the original sound delay time setting: manual and foot
(quick).
9 Various ways of changing the delayed sound repetition quantity.
9 Two combinations of forming signals sent to the device outputs..
9 sending original signal from the device’s input to its outputs without
processing (BYPASS).
9 Autonomous power unit.
9 Use of external power adapter.
9 Comparatively low weight and dimensions.

AMT TDD-3 architecture:
9 Analog input and output circuits.
9 Fully digital circuit of original sound delay.
9 High-quality analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters.
9 Fully functional digital control (except for the signals mixing and their levels
control).
9 Analog circuits for the signals levels and phases changing.
9 Another circuits for signals mixing.
9 Application of high-quality film capacitors.
Use only MONO-JACKS for TDD-3 connections.
Important! Like other top-class devices AMT TDD-3 is
sensitive to power source quality. We insist that you use
either the power adapter conforming to the quality
requirements (recommended adapter: АМТ PSA0109 9V/800mA) or
9V 6F22 battery.
Before you start:
For safe transportation the device was carefully packaged by the manufacturer.
However, if the cardboard packaging is damaged you should immediately inspect
the device for the absence of external damages.
¾ In case of damages do NOT SEND the device to manufacturer,
but inform the seller or transport agency, since otherwise you
will lose the right to damage compensation.
¾ In order to avoid damages during storage and transportation
always use original packing.
¾ Do not allow children to play with the device and packaging
materials.
¾ Please, recycle all packing materials in the way harmless to
the environment.
¾ In order to avoid the device overheating provide a sufficient air
flow around it; do not cover it and do not place near other heat
emitting devices.
¾ Device operation near powerful radio transmitters and sources
of high-frequency signals can result in appreciable
deterioration of sound. In this case increase the distance
between the device and the transmitter and use screened
cables for all interconnections.
CAUTION!
Please be aware that high volume can harm your hearing and / or
damage the dynamic heads of your acoustic system. Before turning
the device on rotate Volume controls to extreme left position
(counter-clockwise). Always try to adhere to moderate volume level.
Specifications:
Use only external devices and accessories recommended by the
manufacturer.
Powering the device from battery and power adapter
AMT TDD-3 is powered both by battery (DC 9V 6F22) and DC 9V external power
adapter (the required specifications are shown in Specifications).
If the device is battery powered, the device is switched on only after insertion of
MONO JACK into INPUT located on the river and all of the device. This is the
way of saving your battery resource.
When the device is powered by power adapter, the battery is turned off. In this case
the device switches to the power adapter use at once; the presence of JACK in
INPUT is not necessary.
Attention! In order to save the battery resource, it is recommended
to use external power adapter whenever possible.

Changing delay line modes and their indications with TAP /
SET button
TDD-3 delay line has two operation modes:
1. SET-manual adjustment of delay time.
2. TAP-quick adjustment of delay time (foot timing).
Each mode is indicated by corresponding color (p.7): in SET - RED, in TAP -
GREEN. During operation the indicator’s blink intervals are equal to the set delay
time.
The selection of the necessary operating mode is done by means of TAP / SET
button (p.8). Switching between the modes is cyclical - TAP – SET – TAP –
SET… etc..
To change mode from TAP to SET push TAP/SET button and hold it for1-1.5 s
(8) or change the position of D.TIME control (1) , the indicator color (7) will change
from green to red. In SET mode delay line will change the signal delay in
accordance with time selected by D.TIME (1). The delayed and the number of its
repetitions will correspond to the settings of E.LEVEL (2)and F.BACK (6)
accordingly.
To change mode from SET to TAP briefly push TAP / SET (8), the indicator color
will change from red to green. In TAP mode you can quickly changed the delay
time by means of foot timing.
To do this push TAP / SET button twice (8) with the interval equal to the necessary
delay time. After the first push the indicator (7) will turn red-green (the device is
waiting for the second push) after the second one indicator (7) will blink blink green
again (the device will accept the signal delay interval ). If by any reason the second
push on TAP / SET button (8) does not happen for 3.35 s (the maximum possible
delay time), the device will return to previous settings in this mode. The delayed
signal level and number of its repetitions, like in SET mode, will correspond to the
values set by E.LEVEL (.2) and F.BACK controls (6) accordingly.
Changing modes and indication parameters by means of BYPASS
button.
BYPASS (9) button enables switching between “EFFECT” AND “BYPASS” modes.
Modes change cyclically “EFFECT” – “BYPASS” – “EFFECT” – … etc. In
“EFFECT” mode the indicator (10) is red meaning that the output signal is being
processed. In “BYPASS” mode the indicator (10) is off and both output signals (А
and В) are unchanged.
Changing output signals combinations by means of A-DIR / A+DIR
switch.
By means of A-DIR / A+DIR switch (12) located on the rear panel of the device,
you can select combinations of signals fed to the outputs during the delay line
operation. Possible combinations of output signals related to A-DIR / A+DIR switch
position are shown in Table 1.
Table 1.
Output Combination of Signals
Switch positioned at A-DIR
OUT A (4) DELAY (delayed, not inverted)
OUT B / MONO (3) DIRECT (original)
Switch positioned at A+DIR
OUT A (4)
DIRECT+ inverted DELAY (original +
inverted delayed)
OUT B / MONO (3)
DIRECT+ DELAY (original + not inverted
delayed)
For qualified personnel only.
There are no user-serviceable components inside the device.
The device repair must be done only by qualified specialists
.
Battery replacement.
Use batteries exclusively recommended by the
manufacturer.
To replace the battery:
1. Remove the bottom cover of the device (13) by unscrewing 4 (four)
fastening screws.
2. Disconnect the old battery and remove it.
3. Connect a new battery and put it in place of the old one.
4. Replace the bottom cover and secure it in place by means of the 4
(four) fastening screws.
AUDIO CONNECTIONS AND SWITCHING.
CAUTION! All connections are to be carried out only
when the power of the device has been SWITCHED
OFF!
Use only MONO-JACKS for TDD-3 connections.
