Safety Note

Necessary assembly, start-
up, and maintenance work
must be performed by
qualified and authorized
personnel only.
Prior to assembly and
depressurize the system.
Please comply with the
instructions of the system
manufacturer or system
operator.
Mounting
The actuator should be
mounted with the valve
stem in either horizontal
position or pointing
upwards.
The actuator is fixed to the
valve body by means of a
mounting ring which
requires no tools for
mounting. The ring should
be tightened by hand.
WARNING!
Do not operate the actuator
until after you have
mounted it on the valve.

Wiring
230 Vac version:
Do not touch anything on
the PCB! Lethal voltage!
Installation
1 Check the valve seat.
Ensure that the actuator
is mounted securely on
valve body. Before
applying power to the
actuator, check for
mechanical obstructions.
2 Remove the small soft
lid plug. Insert the Torx
T40 tool into the
opening.
3 The load sensitive
mechanism requires a
resistance, which is
supplied by the valve,
therefore power should
not be applied prior to
mounting on the valve.
4 Energise the actuator
with a signal to drive
the stem down. When
power is first applied,
the actuator will make a
clicking sound.

This is normal and
indicates that the
actuator's no load
sensor is working
properly. After a couple
of seconds this sound
will cease. The whole
commisioning cycle will
last approximately 6 min
(AMV 01) or 3 min
(AMV 02). When the
actuator has reached
the stem down end
position,the torx tool
stops rotating in the
clockwise direction.
5 Then energise the
actuator with a signal to
drive the stem up, until
it stops rotating in the
counterclockwise
direction. The valve
and the actuator are
now fully commissioned.
During this step the
operating time can be
measured precisely.
6 Pull out the torx tool.
Insert the small soft lid
plug back.

Manual override
1 Remove the small soft
plug from the lid.
2 Insert the torx T40 key
into the opening.
3 Operate the drive
manually in the desired
direction.
Caution:
When the end
position by Torx key
is reached, the
rotation must be
reversed for app. 1/2
of turn. This should
be done before
connecting to the
actuator power supply
again.
4 Pull out the tool and
insert the small soft
plug back.
