World-class, non-outsourced technical support
Trusted as switch manufacturer for major server
OEM
MELLANOX: THE DIFFERENCE IS IN THE CHIP
Founded as a state-of-the-art silicon chip (ASIC) manufacturer
Intelligence built directly onto our own chip
Other switch vendors are forced to source expensive ASICs
from third parties such as Broadcom
Mellanox uses own chip & passes savings to customers
DENSITY & SCALE
Most ports in smallest footprint
Unique form factors & port
counts
Deploy redundant ½ rack
switches side-by-side in 1U
Lowest power consumption
Use fixed switches to build
scalable, affordable networks
VALUE & FUTURE PROOF
Best price performance
(30-50% better $ per GbE)
40GbE for the price of 10GbE
Future Proof 10GbE w/
25GbE/40GbE capability
100GbE uplinks 2.5 times
better than 40GbE due to
fewer cables
PERFORMANCE
Predictable Performance
Fair throughput for all ports
Never drop packets
Lowest Latency
Expedited delivery using
cut through vs. store &
forward
Sales Opportunities
Unique Capability
MAXIMIZE THE NETWORK
Future-proof with 40/100GbE technology built-in
Maximize datacenter connectivity ROI through:
Density, Scale, Performance
OPEN THE NETWORK
Leverage new technologies that increase
functionality, investment & ROI
Freedom from vendor lock-in

Main Benefits
Mellanox designs &
builds intelligent ASICs
that power switches,
adapters,
& cables
FLASH STORAGE
Fast data access for block and
file storage fast interconnects
prevent network being the
bottleneck
SCALE-OUT STORAGE
Combines compute & storage,
easier to manage & lowers cost
top of rack switch with density at
lower price point most attractive
MEDIA & ENTERTAINMENT
Video streaming & post-
production on 4k/8k workflows
needs extreme high bandwidth
to support real-time frame-rates
VIRTUALIZATION
Eliminates under-utilization while
increasing flexibility Mellanox offers
seamless workload mobility and VM
routing while removing L2 boundaries
CLOUD
Create economies of scale
through shared services open
switch platform with fairness
best for software-defined DC.
BIG DATA
Improved analytics for better
business decisions needs
non-blocking architecture to
speed data ingestion.

Based on SwitchX-2 ASIC, all versions are 1/10/40/56GbE* out of box, fully
licensed. Simple speed negotiation upon cable insertion, including a
patented (x1) 40GbE QSFP to (x4) 10GbE SFP+ breakout cable.
*56GbE is at no cost and adds 40% more bandwidth when Mellanox to Mellanox
Based on the Spectrum ASIC, the SN series switches are all x86 based, and
come standard supporting 1/10/25/40/50/100GbE speeds with a choice of
MLNX-OS or support for Cumulus OS out of box.
Predictable Performance
Fair bandwidth
allocation evenly divides
traffic in all scenarios vs
competition allowing
one stream to hog half
the bandwidth
Better Buffering
Up to 18x more
buffering
Up to 90% lower
latency in top of rack
deployments
