lock and unlock the button

Inserting Battery
Insert 1xAAA batt ery into batter y compartment. Ali gn the “+” and “-“ sign as
indicated on t he batt ery slot.
Power On
Press and hol d ON/OFF butt on to turn o n the pla yer. Release ON/OF F button unti l
“W elcome” appears on the display.
Power Off
In STOP mode
, press and hold ON/OFF button to turn off t he pla yer. Release
ON/OFF button unt il “B YEBYE” appears o n the di splay.
Battery Level
The batter y icon on the displ ay sho ws the battery le vel.
Low Battery
When the batter y icon shows in , it indicat es the batte ry power is runni ng
out. You sho uld repl ace a ne w AAA batt ery.
Entering Main Menu Page
1 Switch the player into STOP mode (No music is pla ying). The displa y shows
as below.
2 Press the MODE/CONFI RM button, then you rea ch the belo w Main Men u
page. You’ ve entere d the Main Menu p age.

3 Press NEXT button to ju mp to other menu items in sequence of N avigation,
Mu si c,
Voice, Setting, Record, Delete, About and Exit.
4 Select your desire d menu item and pres s MODE/CONFIR M button again t o
enter sub-men u pag e.
Navigation
1. After entering Main Menu p age, s elect Na vigation and press M ODE/CONFIRM
button to enter Multi-l evel folder ma nage ment mod e.
2. The displa y will enter to Root folder . Press NEXT / PREV button to selec t your
desired folder.
3. Press the MODE button to enter su b-fold er.
4. After entering t he folder, press NEXT / PREV button to select your desired
song.
5. Press PLAY but ton to pl ay the songs
6 Press REC/ HOLD butto n to return to previous folde r.
Play Music
1.
After entering Ma in Menu page, select Pla y Music and pr ess
MODE/CONFIRM button to enter P layin g Song m ode.
Note: Only .MP3 and .WMA format will be played under Playing Song mode.

2. The display will retur n to the follo wing screen in STOP mode.
3. Press PREV/ N EXT button to select your desired song.
4. Press PLA Y button to start playing s elected MP3 or W MA mu sic. If there is
no MP3 and W MA files, “No Music Files” will sho w on the dis play.
Skip a Song
Press PREV/NEXT button and release it immediatel y to jump to next or previou s
song.
Fast Forward and Backward
Press PREV/N EXT button a nd hol d it to fa st forward or b ack wa rd.
Note: Refer to Over view section for detailed buttons operation.
Play Voice
1.
After entering Ma in Menu page, se lect Pla y Voice and pre ss
MODE/CONFIR M button to e nter Pla ying Recorde d Voice mo de.
2. The display will retur n to the follo wing screen in STOP mode.
3. Press PREV/ N EXT button to select your desired voice.

4. Press PLAY button to start playing selected audi o files. If ther e is no
recorded audi o file, “ No VOC File” will show on t he displa y.
Skip a Voice
Press PREV/NEXT button and release it immediatel y to jum p to ne xt or pre vious
recorded voice.
Fast Forward and Backward
Press PREV/NEXT button a nd hold it to fast for ward or b ackward.

2. Press MODE/CONFI RM button to enter

EQ Set
1. In Setting menu, press MODE/CON FIR M button to select EQ Set to ent er
the EQ mode. Se ven EQ modes are a vailable: Normal, Ro ck, Jazz, Bass,
Pop, Classical and S oft.
2. Press PREV/NEXT button to chan ge t he desired EQ mo de and press
MODE/CONFIRM button to confirm the E Q mode.
3. The setting of EQ mode i s able t o apply in Playing Song and Pla ying
Recorded Voice mode.

Seven Repe at Mod es are a vailable: No rmal, Repeat One, Repeat All, Random ,
Random All, Pre view.
Normal
All music will be played one by one and stopped at the last music
until you
disable this fu nction

Repeat One
The playing m usic will be re-pla yed until y ou disable thi s functi on.
Repeat All
All music will be played from the beg inning to the last one and then repe ated
again and again u ntil you dis able this fu nction.
Random
All music in the player will be randoml y played un til all music are finishe d
playing.
Random All
All music in the pla yer will be randoml y playback unti l you disabl e this
function.
Preview
All music from the cu rrent one to the last one will play for 10 s econds one b y
one until you disable this function.

Contrast
1. After entering Setti ng menu, sele ct Contrast b y press PR EV/NEXT to
increase or de crease the contrast o f the di splay.
2. Press MODE/CONFI RM button to c onfirm the desired c ontrast rate.
Backlight
1. After entering Setti ng menu, select Backlight b y press PREV/NEXT button to
set the backlight d ura tion. Th e backlig ht duration c an be se t in the range of 0
to 45 seconds.
2. Press MODE/CONFI RM butto n to confirm the desired b ackligh t duration.
Backlight Color
After enterin g Setting men u, select Backl ight Co lor. The backlight co lor can be se t
in seven colors.
You can press PRE V/NEXT button to select your desire d col or, or sele ct Auto tha t
the backlight color wi ll be changed in se quence o nce any butt on is pressed.
Power Save
In order to sa ve power, it can be allowed to set a off tim e.
After entering S etting menu, s elect Po wer Sa ve by pressing MODE/CONFIR M
button to enter this menu. T he Off Ti me can be set in the sequence of D ISABLE,
2MINS, 10MINS, 30MINS.

button to ent er this m enu.
Press the PREVIOU S/NEXT button to s elect items including Source, Encod er,

Encoder
Press MODE/CO NFIRM button t o select the differe nt Encoder includin g IMADPC M,
MSADPCM an d ADPC M.
Sample
Press MODE/C ONFIR M button to sele ct the different d ata inclu ding 8000 Hz,
11025Hz, 16000Hz , 22050H z, 32000Hz , 44100Hz and 48000H z.
Exit
Press MODE/CONFI RM button to s elect this item to get back to the S etting Menu.

3. Put the sound source near th e built-in mi crophone. You are al lowed to press
PAUSE/PLA Y button to pause or c ontinue the rec ording.
W hen you finished the reco rding, pres s MODE/C ONFRIM bu tton and ge t back to
the STOP mode. T he recorde d audio file s will be aut omaticall y saved un der Root
Directory as de fault. You can ch eck the reco rded audi o files by press ing
PREV/NEXT button.
Delete

1, After entering Main Menu page, sel ect “Delete” and press MODE/C ONFIRM
button to ent er Delet e function.
Note: This function is able to delete Voice file only.
2, Th e following displa y will be show n once you’ve ent ered Delete function and
select Voice b y pressing MODE/CONFIR M button.
3, Press PREVIOUS/ NEXT button t o select the Voice files that you want to
delete.
4, Press Volumn + /Volu mn – to select “Yes” or “N o”. If you selected “Yes”, “file
deleted” will show o n the displa y. You can press REC/HOLD button to get
back to the Sub-m en u.
About
After entering Se tting menu page, selec t About item b y pressing MODE/CONFI RM
button. T he MEM I nfo and th e version of the firmware will be shown on the disp lay
for reference.
Exit
Press this E xit item to get b ack to the ST OP Mode.

Windows® 98 and MAC OS
W indows® 98 (first edition) a nd MACOS are not supp orted.
Windows® 98SE
If the player is r unning on W indows® 98SE, pl ease insta ll the driver by going
through the following instruction in deta ils before using the pl ayer. T he driver must
be installed on you r computer to mak e your pl ayer work prop erl y with your
computer. Ple ase ski p the fol lowin g instr uctions fo r driver instal lation.
Step 1. Before you install the driver, pleas e don’t conn ect the p layer to the
computer
Step 2. Insert the C D into your comp uter, click Set up.e xe and t he installation will
start.
Step 3. Follow the on -screen instruct ions to compl ete the driver installati on and
restart your computer.
Step 4. Connect the player to your compu ter and a
Removable Disk
will appear for
drag-and-dro p of the music files
*Note”For Windows®Me/XP platform, it is unnecessary for installing driver before
using.

Format the MTP Player
Step 1: Click th e MTP Pla yer in My Com puter b y pressing t he right button of the
mouse and se lect “F ormat…”
Step 2: A dial og bo x will app ear to guide ho w to format. Click OK t o proceed.
Then the MTP Player will be f ormat accordingl y.

Noted: MAC OS and Windows® 98/98SE/Me are not supported for WMDRM songs
playback.
Note: The player with WMDRM10 is only allowed for user to download music legally and
validly from the distribution licensees of WMA songs which are posted on the corporate
website of Microsoft®. Please make sure that the WMA songs are downloaded from these
distribution licensees and frequently check the most updated distribution licensees on
the corporate website of Microsoft®.
If the music is downloaded illegally, the songs could not be played normally.
