Installation and Optimization
Thank you for purchasing the QSINE. The QSINE AC Enhancer belongs to Nordost’s extensive range of QRT
products. Each QRT product is designed to improve the performance of your system in a specific and unique way.
The QSINE provides a vital solution which corrects the poor quality AC that negatively aects the audio/video
performance of home entertainment systems. The QSINE allows the music to stand apart from any background
noise, bringing a degree of clarity and detail to the performance while alleviating distortion from the signal.
Operation and Installation
By introducing a specific frequency field onto the AC line, this easy to use plug-in indirectly reshapes the sine
wave and lowers the eects of EMI noise embedded in the AC power line, in order to impact our perception of
the musical signal.
To install the QSINE, simply insert the device into any spare electrical socket on the same circuit as the sound
system it is intended to aect. Please note, the QSINE should only be placed AFTER (or down-circuit from) any
power conditioner acting on the sound system. When powered on, a red ring will glow around the top of the unit.
Note: If the QSINE is housed on a switched socket, make sure that it is turned on.
The QSINE is constructed with a mechanically tuned, carbon-fiber body and is equipped with either a US (NEMA),
EUR (Schuko), or AUS connector. It is compatible with voltages from 110V to 240V. For countries using other AC
connectors, simply employ the appropriate adaptor. On the EUR (Schuko) QSINE, the hot pin is indicated in red.
This must align with the hot side of the socket.
Maximizing the Performance of the QSINE
Like any component, the QSINE will benefit from periodic cleaning of its connecting pins (and the connections
on any adaptor, if used). When determining placement, proximity to the system is beneficial. For best results,
position the QSINE in a spare socket located on the distribution unit that feeds the equipment.
The QSINE is just one part of Nordost’s modular, non-intrusive QRT innovations: audio enhancers that deliver
measurable sonic improvements and provide power in the purist way. The QSINE can be used as either a “stand
alone” product, or, to maximize its performance, with a full complement of QRT devices. Like with all QRT
products, the eects are cumulative and the impact of the QSINE is even more impressive when several units are
employed at once.
Warranty
The QSINE carries a two-year, non-transferable warranty. There are no user serviceable parts inside and opening
the unit will void the warranty.
