Steel City SSF-SLV-20R is a low voltage wall plate mounting bracket that is designed to mount standard low voltage wall plates on either old work (existing walls) or new work (metal or wood studs). It is a low-cost alternative to single gang boxes or raised plaster rings and can be used to mount telephone jacks, computer outlets, security/sound systems, television antennas, and more.

The SSF-SLV-20R is easy to install and requires no special tools. For new work, simply bend the two tabs down on the stud side of the bracket and crimp them with pliers, then mount the bracket to the stud using the holes on the front or side with self-tapping screws or a screw gun. For old work, trace and cut an opening in the wall, insert the bracket (raised area toward the wall), and bend the tabs in and around to engage them with the back side of the wall surface.
