Li-ion batteries are consumables not covered by the guarantee.
The lamp’s autonomy is specified for new batteries.
OPERATION
- Before first use, charge the 889 SL inspection lamp for 3 hours.
- When the lamp is in use and charging, the charging time will be longer.
- When charging, the LED on the rear illuminates to indicate charging. Once charging is complete, the LED is switched off.
- If the Charging LED flashes when connected there is a fault, please contact your USAG distributor.
- To indicate when the battery level is low, when the operating time of the 889 SL drops to 1/4 hour, the light will flash
off and on twice every 60 seconds.
- The 889 SL have two power settings; NORMAL and BOOST:
1. NORMAL : Press the on/off button once and the lamp will turn on in NORMAL mode,
2. BOOST : Press and hold the on/off button for 2-3 seconds when in NORMAL and the BOOST mode will
activate.
- Press and hold the on/off button for 2-3 Seconds when in BOOST mode will return to NORMAL mode.
- Press and release the on/off button in either NORMAL or BOOST mode to switch off.
- Batteries are sensitive to temperature: autonomy variations can occur at low temperatures.
- 889 SL inspection lamp resist most products and solvents used in automotive repair and industrial workshops
(white spirit, petrol, diesel fuel, brake fluid, engine oil).
WARNING
- The LED area of the 889 SL can become hot to touch after long periods of use.
MAINTENANCE
- Never immerse the 889 SL inspection lamp in a cleaning product.
- Use a dry cloth with soapy water to clean your 889 SL inspection lamp.
- Use only USAG spare battery packs, reference 779.SIL-BP.
- Using non-compliant packs or improper usage can cause leaks or an explosion which would damage the lamp.
- Use only the power adaptors supplied by USAG.
This product has been designed and manufactured using high quality, recyclable and reusable materials and components.
The crossed wheeled bin symbol applied to the product indicates that it complies with European Directive 2002/96/EC.

Before disposing of lamp 889 SL, remove the battery 779.SIL-BP and comply with local recycling regulations.
Battery change procedure :
WARNING: Replace any leaking batteries. Wear goggles and gloves when handling this battery.
Used batteries must be placed in a leak-tight container for recycling in accordance with the local regulations.
